I have stayed here many times in the past. It was an older motel in an out of the way area but the owners maintained a waterslide into the pool which was the reason to come. Also the breakfast althoug...I have stayed here many times in the past. It was an older motel in an out of the way area but the owners maintained a waterslide into the pool which was the reason to come. Also the breakfast although not first rate had decent items like eggs and sausage. In my last stay though it was under new ownership. The water slide was gone. The breakfast was not only just cheap cereal and milk but the cereal was in a machine that made you turn a knob for several minutes to get a single ounce of cereal. I rate 0/5 on that. But much worse was the mattresses. They replaced the okay mattresses with the worst I have ever imagined or experienced. No one can imagine how bad these mattresses are, it is beyond imagination. I have stayed at 5 star top places as well as 1 star dumps and these mattresses are the worst anyone has ever imagined. The new owners are nice people but they are so cheap that this place is completely doomed. There used to be a reason to go out of your way to stay at this remote place but there is not any longer. However, this remote town is safe. Which is good. You just won't sleep well.Show More

In 2024 my fami...So I was going to let everything go until I had to stay here a second time and was reminded of how poorly I was treated when me and my family lost our home to a failed plumbing system. In 2024 my family lost our home and had to stay here for 5 months. We lost everything because this was a sudden thing and we had to bring as little as possible with us. The second week here housekeeping banged on my door around 9 am about a stain on a sheet that resembled nail polish or marker. I lost everything from my home so I had neither things. I was told I would be charged $20 for this sheet and I could have new sheets once a week The clean sheets I got every week had stains on them before I could use them. Houserkeeping was so rude and stayed harassing me and my family. My kids had to catch the bus here to school and were lied on and made out to be troubled kids while at the bus stop. It was said my 16 yr old son was throwing rocks at the hotel. My kids are well behaved and well know in the school system for being good children when I’m not around. We got breakfast every other morning until they told us it would be $50 a week for breakfast. At some point a new owner was put in place and began renovating the the entire hotel. Right below my room a wall was being knocked down for a new office space and it was so loud it sounded like they were in our room doing construction. At this time my youngest child was 2 months old and I was working 3rd shift at my job so sleep was nonexistent for me and dad. We complained but nothing changed. We didn’t get another room nor discount and we still had to pay our weekly when the time came. Days later a pipe burst flooding half of the hotel including my room. My kids spent Christmas here so half the things they got for Christmas from shop with a cop and from teachers were wet including toys shoes and clothes. We noticed water coming from the wall late because their clothes were soaking it all up. We were given 2 towels for that night. We slept in a room with soaking wet carpet for 2 nights. Housekeeping knocked on my door the next morning trying to prop my door open to dry the floor while it was freezing outside and knowing I had a 2 month baby inside. I didn’t allow it. Housekeeping was/is very rude and assumed because I didn’t allow them to clean my room because I had my own cleaning tools that my room was dirty. I had to call the police twice on housekeeping for harassment, different days. We were moved to a new room 2 days later $20 dollars to was all of our clothes. It would have been nothing had I not made a big deal about it and the harassment continued. Housekeeping saw we had a visitor who owned a cat and asked us every morning if we had a cat before giving us towels. Another morning a working began sawing through our door to change the lock and had sparks and smoke everywhere There was no warning. This entire experience was a mess and I didn’t want to be here as much as they didn’t want us here. My new home flooded just 2 days ago 7/31/25 while roofing was being done it began to rain causing leaks everywhere and my ceiling fell in. I had to come back to this place. The front desk lady. Had just given a gentleman a room before me. When it was turn she asked for my name a said I called the cops on her and she didn’t have any rooms. She even said I destroyed the room the last time I was there. She couldn’t tell me what I destroyed and tried to say the room was renovated because of me but it was renovated because of the flood and because the freed hard man students were renting the place out but she tried to blame me and denied me a room . By the grace of God my landlord was able to clear an apartment for us to sleep. I hate pulling the race card but I don’t apologize for how I feel but definitely feel discriminated against and looked down on because I have multiple children. Bottom line is I was taught with home training and I teach my kids home training and they way we were treated here was unacceptable. So if you’re a black family who just so happens to loose your home. Don’t come here. Forgot to mention there was not 1 apology made.Show More

We booked this hotel because of the pictures of the big water slide at the pool. Our granddaughter was super excited about it. When we arrived, there was no water slide. All in all, the hotel is fine. I needed it for one night, and the price was right. I think the hotel has been where it is for a long time, and the neighborhood around it has changed, not for the bette...All in all, the hotel is fine. But at the same time, being in a commercial area makes it a convenient location. The only two clear negatives for me were the pool being closed for renovation, and the air conditioner making the window curtains billow and gap open. I solved that by taking one of the couch cushions and wedging it in the space so the curtains would stay put. But obviously, that situation should be looked at. Before checking out the next morning, I looked forward to coffee in the lobby, since there was no coffee provided in the room...but while I did see a coffee dispenser, it was open and empty. Oh well. I went down the road to a breakfast place that was open. I was comfortable at the Americana and enjoyed a good night's sleep. Show More
