It is conveniently located i...This is a cozy charming hotel in a historic area. It's been on my list to stay at since the first time I went to Singapore. I'm glad I finally got a chance to stay here. It is conveniently located in Chinatown close to MRT and many food venues. Lau Pa Sat is a short walk away, as well as Maxwell Food Centre. Hotel itself is attached to a historically significant Chinese temple. Guests are offered a free tour daily in the afternoon. Unfortunately I wasn't able to fit that in this time, looking forward to doing that in the future. I am travelling solo and booked a solo room. It's perfectly sized for me, with separate shower and toilet stalls that are larger and more comfortable than other similarly sized single, or double, rooms I've stayed at elsewhere in Singapore. Breakfast is not a buffet, but rather a set menu at a nearby restaurant. It's adequate for what it is, but you are not going to find food options lacking in Singapore. The only thing I didn't expect was that this room didn't have a window. But it wasn't a huge concern for me, and it certainly eliminates a lot of potential for unwanted noise. I would definitely stay here again in the future.Show More

The location is perfect just across the street from the Telok Ayer MRT station, located next to Far East Square, and short walks to Lau Pa Sat, Merlion, Clarke Quay, and other hawker centres. The service was also really good, everyone was warm and welcoming, the check-in was easy and offering a tea was a nice touch, all the check-in staff left a great impression. The short little museum highlighting the history of the temple that the hotel built itself on was neat. Sabrina who led my personal museum tour was wonderful and personable and even offered me a little hotel gift will make my stay memorable forever. The room may be small but was all the space I needed, the free and refillable minibar (Coke, sprite, green tea, chrysanthemum tea, Doritos, lays chips) was a nice convenient surprise. The daily breakfast at the nearby Offbeat restaurant was excellent. Check-out was fast and easy, Nadya helped me with this and was also very nice, she even gave me a farewell parting hotel gift of their tea tins. I will definitely stay here again the next time I am in Singapore.Show More

The rooms are compact but well designed, so you still get a comfortable bed, good shower pressure, and enough space for one person without feeling cramped. What really makes it stand out is the location. You step straight onto Telok Ayer Street, with cafés, hawker food, bars, and the MRT literally at your doorstep. It makes exploring the city very easy, especially if you only have a short stay. The staff are friendly and attentive in a way that feels personal rather than hotel-formal. Check in is fast, and they are genuinely helpful with suggestions for food and nearby walks. The hotel has a heritage feel, so it’s different from the usual modern chain hotels, but still clean and comfortable. If you want a quiet, central base where you can walk everywhere, feel safe coming back late, and avoid the big-hotel crowds, Amoy Hotel works really well for a solo trip.Show More

All the staff, and, in particular, Duty Manager, Ivena Calista, went out of their way to ensure my stay was a memorable one. The hotel is completely unique, in that it was part of a temple, so do not expect a shiny steel and glass style building. I had a cosy single room, and it was totally fine for solo travel and felt roomier than it was. Everything you needed, such as Nespresso coffee machine, safe and fridge was in the room. The hotel is in a perfect area, next to an MRT station, so getting around could not be easier, and Lau Pa Sat hawker centre is only a 5 minute walk. The Amoy is a have in bustling sensation Singapore … highly recommended.Show More
