It felt like the owner had popped out for a couple of days and would return at any moment. The place hadn’t been cleaned, yes the beds had been made and the bins had been emptied, but not cleaned.
We had long dark hairs everywhere. In our bed, shower, floors, everywhere. There was a strange spicy smell when we walked in.
There is no privacy, as you are on display to the whole neighbourhood most of the time. That said, I guess that could be expected.
We received numerous phone calls on the landline whilst we were there about google accounts or something or the other. That was a hinderance. The fire alarm was tested whilst we were there, another inconvenience. There’s a fire station nearby, expect to be woken up a couple of times a night with them responding to emergencies as the windows were thinly glazed.
The tv channels were disappointing. Hardly any of the channels worked. The water pressure was also disappointing, showers and taps resembled drizzles as opposed to anything else.
We were also disappointed that because we were guests and not actually residents that we couldn’t have food delivered to our room either. We had to spend 30 minutes waiting by the street door for our food as other people were able to have their food delivered. The consierge said this was because we used ‘airb&b’ although we actually booked through Expedia.Show More
