Absolute beachfront with private beach and 4 outdoor pools. Multiple restaurants/ bars but we spent most of our time at the Ayoda Palace Lounge as it was right next to our suite and provides complimentary afternoon tea, evening canapés and cocktails etc. We booked a suite with a generous balcony and ended up getting a free upgrade to the “premium” suite which had a private plunge pool, a wrap around garden with ocean/ sunrise views, a massive bathtub, also with ocean/ beachside views, and even a sauna! The shower was massive as was the whole suite, complete with 4 poster super king size bed, complimentary kids play tent and soft toys, also provided. This suite is boujie!! You will not want to leave! Many options ( and venues) for breakfast, but again we only ate at the Ayoda Palace lounge, which provided a lovely buffet, good mix of local and western foods, as well as à la carte. Apthi from reception was wonderful!!! So helpful organising decorations and also for assisting me to upgrade our room as a surprise for my sister. The first room we had was old but fine except it had a mouldy tropical smell. We upgraded to the Ayodya Palace - a much better room , no smell and a separate shower. The palace includes breakfast in a separate club, a private pool, a cocktail hour where canapés are served. We were welcomed so warmly by the lovely waitresses and waiters in this area. They made our holiday with their friendly, excellent service and conversations, they remembered our names making us feel very special. Thank you especially to Noni, Sinta, Dylan, Erika and Puturai our food and drinks waiters both around the pool and in the palace club. One suggestion the Ayodya Palace pool deck really needs replacing as it is quite dangerous in places and does not fit in with the expected standard of a 4 star hotel. We can highly recommend paying the extra for the upgrade and we will happily return to this wonderful resort soon.Show More

Anyway we were pleasantly surprised with the experience. The hotel itself is magnificent, the architecture so appealing. The lobby area and reception so grand. Our room was clean and tidy, a little bit dated but everything worked and the large bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was big with a good shower. Nothing that could be complained about. Breakfast was busy as you would expect with so many rooms but the staff worked so hard to keep everything replenished and to clear tables so there was no wait for a table when you arrived. The choice of food was excellent from western to Asian and everything in between! The hotel location is perfect right on the beach and there was no need to fight for beds and parasols because there were plenty available. The beach is lovely, soft white sand and the sea is safe to swim.All the staff we interacted with were a credit to the hotel, always pleasant and helpful and keen to talk with guests . So our reservations about a big hotel were unfounded and we highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Nusa Dua.Show More

Check-in is at 3 PM — no exceptions. Even after a long overnight flight or with a small child, you will be left waiting until 3. That's just awful. Our room looks out onto a garden area, but every morning we are woken up by loud renovation or construction noise. If you wanted rest, forget it. To make things worse, the bars and restaurants on site charge about three times more than places outside. If you don't buy all-inclusive, you'll be forced to go off the property repeatedly to eat — a real pain. Don't overpay for convenience that doesn't exist. Choose a different hotel: one that's quieter, better organized, more accommodating and actually cares about guests. I won't be coming back.Show More
