The feeling of ope...Breathtaking location, awesome reef at swimming distance, beautiful (but with a rustic feel) private bure just a few steps away from the beach through a coconut and tree-lined path. The feeling of opening the blinds in the morning, or just leaving them open, and seeing the beautiful day after a fitful night's sleep lulled by the rustling of the palm trees leaves and the gentle waves was unparalleled, as was the option to jump into the perfect waters with all the marine life and corals (and a few, friendly small reef sharks!), or just stare at the beautiful landscape from the bure's lounge chairs. Staff were very helpful and welcoming, and being able to interact with the marine scientists and diving staff was nice, including the free daily talks. Shark diving experiences are very professionally organized and a great opportunity for those -like me- interested in scuba but who had never before practiced it. Many other activities (most for a fee, except kayaking/snorkeling/paddling, which were nevertheless not really available half the time due to low tide) also available. Staying in the property is worthwhile, but rather than a "resort" it should more fairly be considered a beachside "community guesthouse" with some hotel options.show more
