The best thing about this hotel was the location. Mc Donald’s flag ship store was across the street. One block away was Target and Wall greens. 2 blocks are a lot of restaurants. Very safe to walk...The best thing about this hotel was the location. Mc Donald’s flag ship store was across the street. One block away was Target and Wall greens. 2 blocks are a lot of restaurants. Very safe to walk around in day time. Another one was the ADA room that we stayed for 7 days. The room was clean and spacious. Everything looked new. The fridge is much bigger than the typical mini fridge at other hotel chain. Good lighting. There was a water station on the right side of the lobby, right before the entrance to the onsite restaurant Pizzeria Ora. No need to go buy water bottles. The front desk did not even bother to disclose this information to the guests. On the first day, we had to walk to Target to buy water. The coffee station had a very good coffee machine that could make different types of coffee. Unfortunately, the hotel only operated it from 6am to 9am. The cut off was too early. They should extend it to 10am or 11am. The hotel used the onsite restaurant Pizzeria Ora to provide breakfast to hotel guest. choices were very limited. Most people stayed with option 1 or 2. The portion was average. Quality was decent. After 7 days, it was very boring to eat the same things over and over. I missed the buffet style which offers more varieties. I gave 3 star for the onsite restaurant Pizzeria Ora - food and service. Price was expensive. No value. Attendants were cold, having a “you’re not welcome” attitude. The hotel lobby was not designed for handicapped customers. There were doors that could be opened automatically to let the person in. After that, they were faced with 4 steps of stair to climb up. It was a big hassle for us to go in and out every day. My husband had to carry my heavy walker up and down. We stayed there for 7 days. So, we were up and down the stair at least 20 times. The front desk had only one man in charge. He was busy all the time to be able to offer any help. They had a make shift platform to move people in wheel chair. No one ever offered to use it for me. It was there for show, not for customer to use. I received a quick thank and acknowledgement from the front desk. No gift bag to a Platinum member like the ones I received at other BW. Improvement notes: Please make on ramp entrance to the lobby for handicap access. Offer buffet style breakfast. Tiny and dirty elevator. Extend the coffee machine hour to 10-11am.Show More

Very easy to get to right off the Dan Ryan and a couple of blocks on Ohio. The Grand Redline CTA station is around the corner and down the street. Walking distance to a lot of great Chicago attractions like Navy Pier and River Walk and Wacker Drive to get yelled at by “Mostly peaceful” protesters. The roof top view is awesome. Wallace, The Concierge. He’s a gem! Very friendly and very helpful. Very sincere and informative. If there was one reason we would return it’d be him. The guy at the desk on Monday morning was quite friendly, helpful and accommodating. The parking is pretty nice and convenient though it comes at a price. But had no problem with availability of a spot and it is cheaper than other downtown hotels. The Pool is nice and large compared to most hotels. The gym is small but there are dumbbells that go up to 50#, a bench and 3 cardio machines. Not bad. Cons If you get a room in the detached building, it can be noisy down low and kind of inconvenient to get to the lobby, restaurant, gym, rooftop and pool. There’s no fridge or microwave in the room so leftovers get wasted. Not even a discount for breakfast for guests. Same jacked up downtown prices at the adjoining restaurant.Show More

Unfortunately, we weren’t in the lobby for our stay. The pictures the hotel provides were taken very strategically and misleading as a result. Our room was in a second building and we were directed to go back outside to enter that building through a different entrance; we found out later taking the elevator to 4th floor has bridge to that building. The building was run down and not air conditioned. As a result, the hallways and elevators were hot, humid, and very uncomfortable to walk through. The building itself was lacking routine maintenance which was reflected in chipped and peeling paint, with walls full of dings and scrapes. The hallways also smelled like urine, which also could be smelled in our individual room. The mattress needed replaced; it was a soft mattress on the platform which cause you to sink into it, providing no support. There was also no mini-fridge in the room so we were forced to waste our leftovers and had no place to keep drinks cold. The vending machine on our floor was out of service. The cup dispenser attached to the water dispenser in the “fitness room” was empty. I have to come to Chicago regularly for healthcare and will never choose this location again. Show More

For over $300 a night, I expected far better. Nowhere during booking was I informed of an additional $100 parking fee — a hidden charge that felt downright exploitative. The hotel has no central air, leaving the hallways, elevators, and common areas uncomfortably hot. My room was average at best and, despite being advertised as including a refrigerator, had none. The front desk attendant was rude and dismissive, which only added to the frustration. Parking was a nightmare — half the lot was blocked off, the garage was so tight it was nearly impossible to navigate, and the only remaining spots were reserved for employees. It’s unacceptable that paying guests are left to scramble for parking with no clear solution provided. The only redeeming aspects were the pool and the upper deck view, but they weren’t enough to justify the high cost or make up for the poor experience. I would not stay here again or recommend it to others.Show More
