It was a seamless booking, checking in and check out. All employees were professional and efficient with their duties, plus they appeared to be happy to work there. We had an issue with a non working ...It was a seamless booking, checking in and check out. All employees were professional and efficient with their duties, plus they appeared to be happy to work there. We had an issue with a non working fireplace that was resolved within a half hour of reporting it. We had originally planned to bring a dog, but several days ahead, we advised the resort we were no longer bringing it. Bowls and bedding for the dog was in the room when we got there but was quickly taken away once we advised them it was there. Dislikes about the room: The large window to the outside only had a view of tall cedars, comparative to the wall of a close by building. There was mild "off" smell from the carpet suggesting it was a pet friendly room. Likes about the room: Appliances were new and adequate for our stay. Relatively quiet, with only minimal noise from the hall at times and heavy foot pacing the floor above us. Bed was large and comfortable. The bathroom, tub and shower are was really well done. As a bonus, two rain jackets were provided and available in the room...which we needed. Dislikes about the complex: Gift shop lacked pricing on items. Gym was relatively small but still adequate for most visitors. Both lounge and restaurant had the same menu and pricing except for a couple items. The restaurant was a bit on the cold side. Likes about the complex: friendly staff. Luggage carts. Plunge pool and hot tub. Views from the restaurant and lounge. It is pet friendly and had provided in the room, water and feed bowls, and bedding for a dog. Easy to get to and within short distance to the town of Ucluelet and highway to Tofino. Close to several walking trails, beaches, and scenic spots. For us, NOTHING was bad with our stay. Anyone who stays at the resort will likely not feel sorry about their choice. Overall, the ambiance of the resort, in and out, was enough for us to consider another stay in the future.Show More

Overall I’m having a positive exp...This hotel is clean and in a beautiful spot with nice and spacious rooms. I’ve also found the staff (including in the lounge restaurant) to be friendly and attentive. Overall I’m having a positive experience for my stay (1 of 3 nights so far) but there are a few things that stand out negatively: - the 5pm check in and 11am check-out deadline aren’t very generous. Does it really take 6 hours to clean a room? - no free bottled water is provided, even though the tap water is discoloured. There’s a sign in the room describing the water situation (potable but discoloured), but who wants to drink yellow-brown water? I’d even be happy with a water jug and filter to use in the fridge. - there is no sound-proofing between rooms and I can hear when my neighbours get a new text message. - I can also hear staff doing laundry until late (it’s nearly 9pm as I write this) (avoid room 223). - the balcony is very nice but I would have liked dividers up so that I can relax in privacy. - the hot tub / pool area is too small for the size of the resort and there are lots of families with small children screaming and splashing (kids are doing their thing, but it’s not relaxing for the rest of us). I even saw a used diaper left behind on a shelf in the change room! - the resort robes fit snugly and as a larger person I asked if I could get an oversized one. The staff at the desk told me they only had the one size and that I was required to wear it to the pool area. This caused me a bit of stress and didn’t make me feel like I was understood or particularly cared about. I will look for another option on a future stay in the area and would be much more upset had I not received such a great deal on my booking.Show More
