We came back to our hotel room to find that the door was left open by the cleaning staff. We were never left a "Do not Disturb" sign, but we thought it would be nice to have the bed made anyway. We were never left a "Do not Disturb" sign, but we thought it would be nice to have the bed made anyway. While I have stayed in many hotels globally, never once has my room been left open by hotel staff. I am always incredibly thorough about closing doors and everything so as not to allow my belongings from being stolen. The most they could do was refund 1 day of service fees that never actually hit my account. I'm incredibly disheartened. We were hoping our experience would be different, and were considering this location for a wedding but we cannot recommend it, and we do not desire to stay here again. For the price point, and the attempt at looking like a high-class establishment that has served many presidents, the attentiveness and care was lacking. I had hoped to have this made up to us, but it was not. I am heartbroken. We also were not provided 2 robes upon check in which just felt like it added to our inconvenience, though this was not a major point. I just wish our door wasn't left open so that anyone could walk in and steal our belongings, and I wish the staff had treated this with more seriousness. The wifi that was included in the expensive resort fees worked only occasionally and our devices would constantly unpair due to it not working. On our checkout day, we had left some cannolis in the fridge. I was kicking myself over forgetting them, but figured since it was a nice establishment they would be able to work to get them back to me efficiently. I called them less than 30 minutes after leaving, told that they could not reach their housekeeping staff and that they would work on it. My partner arrived back at the hotel less than an hour after we'd left. She was met with people at the front telling her to be patient and that the cannolis were coming. I know this was an inconvenience to the staff, but they had her waiting there for 25 minutes telling her to "just wait" until a very kind man said he'd just bring her up to the room. He brought her up to the room, and she got the cannolis from the fridge. I am just amazed that this process took an hour. I am glad it wasn't something more important to us than some cannolis. Overall, I am disheartened by the treatment here, and unfortunately we will not be returning. There are plenty of similarly priced hotels (especially with the extra fees tacked on), that would give a more luxurious and stress-free experience. I am sad that a potential wedding destination turned into a disaster.Show More

Upon arrival, we were not greeted or offered any assistance with luggage, nor were we given clear direction regarding hotel access points. We carried our bags up ourselves while several staff members looked on. At the front desk, only one attendant was working and one computer functioning, resulting in a long and disorganized check-in. The area was cluttered with multiple luggage carts blocking the pathway rather than being neatly stored to the side. The room itself was shockingly small — barely a foot of space at the base and sides of the bed, leaving virtually no area to place luggage or personal items. There were no drawers whatsoever, and the bathroom was in unacceptable condition: visible mold in the corners, a crookedly installed sink, and a nonfunctional ceiling fan. The so-called bathroom “door” was a sliding barn-style panel with wide gaps on both sides, offering no privacy and letting bright light spill into the bedroom at night. Two outlets in the room didn’t work, the mini-fridge was too small to store even basic items, and there were only two glasses provided. No laundry or ice services were available on the floor, and we ended up walking to Walgreens to buy drinks and snacks since there were virtually no in-room amenities. Room service was painfully slow and severely overpriced — nearly $30 for a simple avocado toast. The hotel gym was poorly maintained; cords for machines like the Peloton were unsecured (I actually tripped over one), and the entire space had an unpleasant odor. The elevators were unreliable and alarmingly jerky, bouncing between floors in a way that didn’t feel safe. While the Omni Parker House is rich in history, that legacy has clearly been lost under Omni’s management. The hotel trades on its famous past and the Mark Twain quote displayed in the lobby, yet fails to live up to even basic hospitality or cleanliness standards. A deeply disappointing experience from a property that should represent the best of Boston — not the worst.Show More

The rooms on the other hand were absurd. We rented two identical "deluxe" rooms on the same reservation and one had a dresser, a luggage stand, a coffee maker, and a desk. The other was 50 sq feet smaller (according to the front desk after we called) and had no dresser - literally no place to put clothing - we had to put a suitcase on the floor and step IN it to navigate the room because it was so small you couldn't have an open suitcase on the floor and still navigate the room without stepping inside the suitcase, no desk (there was a shelf attached to the wall with a chair crammed under it where a suitcase stand could have gone but instead there was a useless shelf and chair taking up what little precious space there was), no coffee maker and was a third smaller. Same price, same reservation, two vastly different rooms. The bathrooms are so small that when you sit on the toilet you are wedged between the sink and the wall. I don't think a plus sized person would literally be able to use the toilet in these bathrooms. The toilets are very narrow to accommodate the tiny space between the sink and wall and when you are sitting on the toilet you are touching the wall on one side and the sink on the other. We called the desk to ask for a discount on the second room since it was clearly a much less desirable room and were told a manager would call us back. No one ever called back or addressed the situation. We were told by the front desk that they are the "same class" of room and yet one had several amenities the other did not and was much larger than the other. Can't recommend this place because who knows what room you will end up with even if you book a "deluxe"!Show More
