We have stayed at this hotel five times over the years. Last time was 3 yrs ago and it was very nice and the location is great, but now it has been purchased by another company. The carpets were stain...We have stayed at this hotel five times over the years. Last time was 3 yrs ago and it was very nice and the location is great, but now it has been purchased by another company. The carpets were stained, there are black marks on the walls which they tried to paint over and made a mess, the room bed side light didn’t work until we moved the bed away from the wall and fixed the cord so it would stay in the outlet, the refrigerator was broken when we arrived and unplugged so we had to get a new one delivered. The bathroom shower was full of mold, hot water in shower wasn’t consistent, wood trim was scratched, pictures on the walls were actually coming out of their frames, paint was coming off the bathroom ceiling, the bathroom pocket door was broken and wouldn’t close, paint had been touched up on the bedroom ceiling with the wrong paint, there were burn marks on the carpet, only one elevator was working and looked like someone was learning how to paint inside on the trim, no one answered the phone when we would call the front desk so we had to go down personally all the time and we noticed multiple people with the same problems. On checkout at 6am there was no one at the desk or a parking attendant, computer was on, packages on the desk but no one around. But after knocking on every door in the lobby and yelling hello we called the 800 number and they said they didn’t know what to tell us. So we started knocking on the doors again and yelling hello and a person came out from the back obviously he had been sleeping in the back. Totally not safe. Even the taxis driver mentioned the place is in bad shape because the new owners don’t want to invest any money into it. They also charge $30 a day resort fee!!! It includes WiFi, in room coffee maker, a tiny discount on a trolley tour, premium location of a historic hotel? And they will accept packages for you plus free water. In room coffee was horrible cheap coffee, they hadn’t had water for guests for days. The total list of just plain neglect is even longer. They also wanted $50 to check in 2 hrs early. Just a rip off. Stay somewhere else.show more
