It did: a view of the roof of the...A bit disappointing. A beautiful location with lots of parking. Our room was booked in July for an October stay. On arrival the desk assured me the room had a view. It did: a view of the roof of the next building. As I requested a waterfront room this was not on. So I asked for a different one. They complied. But the hotel was far from full so there was no excuse really. Then I was told a three night stay only included one housekeeping visit. That’s perfectly fine and I was asked to book the day and the time. Did so, but the housekeeping did not happen. I had to chase the staff to get things done several hours after the time the management requested I book! The room only had enough coffee/tea pods for one night. No proper glasses just two flimsy paper cups. The screen door to the balcony needed serious repair. The room had a mini fridge and a microwave but no plates or cutlery (paper / disposable would do) so I am not sure what one was expected to eat from or with. Comfortable beds, spacious room and a very sweet staff who simply didn’t seem to be getting communication from the front desk. The desk did provide a useful map of the town.Show More

The space was generous, with breathtaking views of the harbour—we loved watching the tides shift throughout the day. The king bed in the loft was incredibly comfortable, and the extra beds on the main floor gave us a cozy spot to unwind with our dog and catch up on some TV. And our dog enjoyed walking the harbour and green space outside the lodge. Despite the building being older, it had a warm, cabin-like charm, and we didn’t experience any sound issues. The location was ideal—just a short 10-minute walk to local cafes and shops, with plenty of outdoor adventures only a quick drive away. A huge thank you to the staff, especially the concierge, who went above and beyond to help us extend our stay. They made sure we could remain in the same room, which was a thoughtful touch that made things easier for our dog. We would absolutely stay here again. Comfortable accommodations, stunning views, and genuinely helpful staff—all wrapped up in a unique and welcoming lodge. Thank you for a wonderful experience!Show More
