And I do have a thing for design hotels. As Spain's fast moving capital, Madrid offers a wide variety of options. But not all of them rise up to luxury, exclusive and memorable.
Melia Casa de Las Artes is Madrid is the epitome of all what Madrid is. A historic building with Picasso art, salmon pink walls evoking museum ambiance, a bright and impeccable floor to ceiling library and event space, an awarded mid modern inspired restaurant, and a hand picked staff attending guests needs.
From a hotel tour from concierge (recommended), to a delicious mediterranean breakfast at Mache restaurant (the space is a photographer/architect/art lover dream) , a classical music concert at the library (ask for their events calendar), to an afternoon swim at their first level pool, ending with a movie night in their own cinema (also a family favorite) , Melia Casa de Las Artes brings Melia's Collection brand to the highest level.
Rooms are spacious, sound free, well lit, first class bedding, luxury amenities, and the most perfect pillows for a perfect rest after a day out in Madrid. Close to the cities top museums, best restaurants and of course, shopping, Barrio de las Letras is a dream for whoever seeks a morning walking on history filled alleys and the smell of fresh made bread while reading the book you meant to read and never had time before.
Jose Chamorro, as it's brilliant director, leads a management team oriented to serve international clientele. Thank you Jose for your attentiveness, warmth and incredible details towards my stay.
