The spacious airconditioned room was located on the second fl...Having booked a smaller suite, we got upgraded to a Thai House suite which was a traditional Thai house, but with all the modern comforts. The spacious airconditioned room was located on the second floor among trees and greenery. The adjacent large bathroom did not have AC. There was a very large balcony with a daybed under roof, two sun loungers and a table with two chairs all under parasols. The view from the balcony was of the garden and the main house (private). The general feeling was one of a resort in the countryside rather than in the middle of Bangkok a short walk from the Grand Palace and a Metro station. Breakfast is served to order on a purpose built covered restaurant pier over the river which has a stunning view of the fort and the temples across the river. In the evening the pier houses a restaurant that serves a fixed menu. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The only inconvenience we experienced was the noise from the river, but that really is not something that the hotel can do anything about. Bangkok is not a quiet town.Show More

The rooms were comfortable and had a Thai flair. The grounds were absolutely beautifully landscaped with a view of the river and Wat Arun. Ohm and the team could not have been kinder. They were very accommodating when there were any issues and Ohm gave us some good suggestions for the area. Breakfast at the hotel was amazing. We just wish we would have stayed for dinner!Show More
