To begin with I phoned to request an early check in because...Underwhelming sums up our stay at this hotel. My expectations were high based on the other Coast hotels we have stayed in over the years. To begin with I phoned to request an early check in because we were arriving in Vancouver 2.5 hours early. So I phoned to ask if they would allow us to check in an hour or so early so that we could get dressed and ready for a dinner date. But they said, No it would not be possible". Seriously? You can't tell me you had a full house and that you didn't have a clean room or you couldn't have had your room attendants get a room ready for us early. I worked in the hotel industry both as a cleaner and a the front desk clerk. When someone requested an early check in we busted our butts to make sure there was a room ready for them. So we paid $220 and the room we checked into was sub par. We had a view of the adjacent hotel. The room itself was kinda unwelcoming. Right down to the cold laminate flooring and lack of a comfy blanket on the bed. I pulled back the thin blanket and sheet and had to get the extra blanket that was folded up in the closet because the thin blanket on the bed was definitely not warm enough. I guess what I am saying is, it's important to make an effort when you have someone paying to stay on your property. I was just glad that we were only staying for one night. I will not be recommending Coast Lonsday Quay Hotel to anyone.Show More

We also appreciated that we could bring our dog! There is a bus terminal and Seabus terminal, or ferry, steps from the hotel making it super easy to get around without the need for a car! We loved this!! There are also tons of shops and restaurants all around, plus a large play area and dog park steps from the hotel. We were so relaxed with so much right at our fingertips!Show More
