We understand that it is currently under a management change, but that does not excuse the black floors that left blackness on the soles of our feet, or the black mold in the bathroom. There was NO COFFEE available without paying a significant price. We were told if we used the coffee in the room it would cost $10 per cup, and it would be better to go to the Starbucks in the casino – still very expensive. We specifically reserved a king bed room but only got two queen beds, which interfered with comfortable sleeping. The room was way too dark - not enough lighting, and no bed-side lamps. Once the light switch by the door was turned off the room was pitched into darkness. We used a flashlight to navigate to the bed. Oh, yes, and if someone was in the shower, the mirror was actually a two-way mirror, so if the room was dark while the light was on as you took a shower, you were giving the room a show. I found this to be very offensive. The Cromwell is a PetStay hotel, which means that they are accommodating for pets. When we checked in we asked where to walk our dog to pee, we were told - curtly – that the information was in the paperwork, which we read. There was no mention of a place to walk a dog. Two days later we stumbled upon a small dog park not 100 yards away. It was tucked between the Flamingo and the Cromwell. We tried to manage our own luggage, both at check-in and check-out, but were told sternly that they DO NOT "loan out" the luggage carts. They also did not have valet parking or any front door assistance. We were lucky that one bellman was willing to help us after we were parked to bring our luggage to us using one of the forbidden carts, all the while telling me that it was against the union rules to do so. Charming. We did dine at Giada's happily, but we did not gamble one cent in their casino. Why would we want to stay in this environment? His cheerful, friendly demeanor made us feel right at home. The Cromwell should be proud to have employees like Brandon. The rooms however were small and extremely dark. Too bad the bathrooms are occupying the outside wall where more windows should be. Also, the wi-fi didn't work (hotel-wide issue) and both the sink and shower drains were slow to empty. The toilet was loose in its mount to the floor (I am not a heavy person at 185 lbs) and the shower door handle was loose. The bathroom sink handles were shut in crazy angles. The room chandelier was very crookedly askew. It seemes a bit strange that the full length mirror in the room was a two-way mirror with the one built into the shower, so you can see into the shower from the room side while also seeing your reflection. Also, we were SO surprised and disappointed to know that there was a Keurig coffee machine in the room but NO complimentary coffee in the room as there is in every other hotel in the world. There were Keurig coffee pods for sale for $22, plus tax (4-pack), so bring your own pods! There was an array of snacks on the dresser, but NO price list, so beware. Also, there's a $62/night resorts fee which was NOT disclosed on the Stayforlong.com booking website, so again, beware. Show More

The front desk employee had not been informed, so neither were we. One of the elevators was inoperative for the first day until we informed the desk. The second elevator had pistachio shells dumped on the floor and they were not picked up for 2 days, meaning nobody is sweeping or wiping down the elevators. Our sink backed up with black sludge, our toilet rocked on its base (and we are small people), one of the bedside table glass tops leaned like the Tower of Pisa if you didn't balance your possessions like a teeter-totter. The window was a nice addition for fresh air in the bathroom, but since the screen looked as if it hadn't been cleaned since this hotel was the Barbary Coast, it's useless. The Keurig coffee maker was a nice addition but charging for coffee pods, not so much. This property needs a little attention from its parent company, Caesars Entertainment.Show More

First they bumped us to a double room next to the storage closet for house keeping and told me we would get extra space to put our things as if that will make up for sleeping better in a bigger bed. We were there for 5 nights and I called on the 3rd day for cleaning. They came to my room and didn't clean the room, change the linen or give us fresh towels! But what they did do was replace the box of M&M's that we ate from the mini bar. REALLY??? Then I look at my credit card statement to see an extra $500 because as the receptionist is telling me about my room being downgraded he neglected to mention that it was $100 per day for incidentals. Ceasars I really hope your other establishments are not operating in this way because it is trash!! I would say I will NEVER stay here again but they wount be around much longer. Hopefully when LVP takes over she starts with new staff and valuing the customer. This was ridiculous!!Show More
