Upon entering the room, I noticed that the mattress had significant sagging spots. After a long 12-hour duty, I simply wanted to wash up, but the wash basin was completely clogged — even washing my hands was not possible.
As a guest, especially after long working hours, I expect the room to meet basic standards so I can rest well. Unfortunately, after sleeping for eight hours on the sagging mattress, I woke up with severe back pain. When I reported the issues, the fixing engineer attended to the clogged basin, and about 20 minutes later, the housekeeping supervisor and the Duty Manager, Ms. Christene, came to inspect the mattress. They thoroughly checked it and agreed that it was in unacceptable condition.
They offered a room change, but after unpacking and settling in, it was not practical for me to repack everything again. Eventually, they replaced the mattress, which I appreciated, but the entire process consumed almost half my day.
What I found disappointing was the offer of a $50 room credit for in-room dining. It felt as though the hotel was trying to compensate in exchange for positive feedback or to prevent negative comments. A five-star property should have trained housekeeping staff who ensure that rooms meet proper standards before being assigned to guests. Regular checks on room facilities and mattresses should be conducted to avoid such inconveniences.
This experience caused significant discomfort and loss of rest time, and I hope the hotel takes this feedback seriously to ensure better standards and prevent recurrence for future guestsShow More
