The look and feel of the hotel were amazing, light, coastal, and beautifully styled. The furniture and ambience created a relaxed atmosphere, especially with views over the three pools and out to the Esplanade. Our room was comfortable and suited our stay, though we would’ve preferred a double–double configuration. The shower was excellent. We had breakfast included at Paper Crane; it was good with lots of options, though not the best buffet breakfast we’ve had. The pool area was attractive but could feel crowded at times. We really enjoyed our time at Crystalbrook Riley and would definitely stay again on a return trip to Cairns.Show More

The design, comfort, and overall atmosphere had all the mak...We recently stayed at Crystalbrook Riley November 25 and I have to say, the rooms are absolutely beautiful and the pool area is outstanding. The design, comfort, and overall atmosphere had all the makings of a true 5-star experience. Unfortunately, that is where the luxury stopped. The service from staff was surprisingly rude (on the 3 occasions we went to the front desk during our stay) and dismissive, which completely contradicted the premium positioning of the hotel. The most shocking part was their policy that luggage cannot be stored after 2pm on the day of checkout. Instead, they will place your bags out the front after 2pm. For a so-called 5-star hotel, this is utterly ridiculous, unacceptable, and frankly unsafe. No guest paying premium prices should be told their belongings will be left unattended in public view. Such a simple and standard courtesy has somehow been turned into a guest inconvenience, and it really spoiled what should have been an exceptional stay. Crystalbrook Riley has stunning facilities, but until customer service and basic hospitality policies align with the luxury brand they claim to be, it will remain a disappointing experience no wonder there rating on booking.com is 8.5.Show More

I booked only a few days before we arrived and was so pleased we had made this choice. We arrived at midnight and were quickly checked in and into our room. The room was spacious, more so than I was expecting from the photos and we had a balcony overlooking the pool with a lovely view. The bed was very comfortable, room was spotlessly clean, and we enjoyed the bars and restaurants on site. The breakfast is very good, and I think kids would enjoy it also as they have sprinkles and Oreo crumbs as toppings for pancakes. The decor is really nice, the Riley has a fresh and clean vibe throughout. Staff were mostly young foreigners but all very friendly and efficient. Location wise the Riley is close to the airport, and just across the road is a path to walk along the esplanade, we would recommend turning left for a fresh juice at Muddy’s which is next to a big, leafy playground which would be great for young kids. We hope to return next year with our kids!Show More
