I booked this hotel as a solo trip to the coast. I will honestly say this was one of my favorite hotels I’ve ever been to. I was greeted right away during check-in with Henry. He advised me that I had...I booked this hotel as a solo trip to the coast. I will honestly say this was one of my favorite hotels I’ve ever been to. I was greeted right away during check-in with Henry. He advised me that I had been upgraded and I was now situated on the top floor. He provided me with a delicious salted caramel cookie as a welcome gift. I had also inquired about getting some distilled water for my CPAP machine to which Henry had no problem, giving me a bottle I went upstairs and was blown away at the room is absolutely stunning. It was located on the corner facing the harbor and towards the Vancouver Lookout, I was able to watch the sea bus going in and out, as well as the loading and unloading of the cargo ships at Port. The room itself was clean and very well maintained. It is evident that the housekeeping staff take excellent pride in their work after unpacking and a full day of travel. I elected to check out the stock and supply restaurant located just off the lobby. I was greeted by a wonderful female server. Sorry I did not catch her name, but I elected to sit at the bar. Gordon was tending the bar that evening and really won the extra mile to get to know me. I enjoyed a couple glasses of wine and the Nashville popcorn chicken bites. Gordon was great at his job not only making me feel welcome and chatting with me but several all their guests at the same time all seated at the bar. I ended up meeting a friend later that evening and returned back for a few more drinks Gordon wasn’t the only bartender I had the pleasure of meeting. I also got to meet Ray then the following afternoon who made a killer spicy margarita. Any of the staff I interacted with were great from the door people ensuring I had an umbrella for my rainy morning, walks the housekeeper who clean and refreshed my room to the front desk, agents at checkout, making sure I had everything and even helping me access the shortcut to the waterfront sky tune station. I was exhausted and I couldn't catch the front desk agent that checked me in but slim asian gentleman really nice and recognized my Marriott status plus welcomed me again since I stayed here long time ago. From using the app and chat for request super pro and easy to get assistance. Vanessa at checked was extra mile and Donnie at concierge I believe the moment I entered right away asked me if I needed some assistance. Unfortunately there was a hiccup with the parking area picking up my colleagues. A slim young agent came to yelled at me quite rude and demanding to move the car otherwise he will give me a ticket. He didn't let me speak and rushed inside with the threat of getting the ticket for me. I believe Donnie a day prior came to asked me to move quite a pro and friendly and it went well BUT the way this agent rushed into a beast mode has to be reported. The front desk was super friendly and helpful and the hotel lobby smelt divine. We enjoyed a higher floor and checked in at 10am which was available if you paid extra. We arrived from Australia at 6.30am so it was worth it. Our room was a two queen in one bedroom with a separate living space. It gave us extra space with four adults together. Although the living room was tiny, there was a fridge, tv and comfy couch for any early risers or night owls. The location of the property was ideal with loads of sight-seeing, shopping and eateries all within walking distance. We also used the car-parking which was self-service and suited us well. I would stay here again as the overall service, comfort and location were perfect for us as tourists. It’s in a nice part of town also.Show More

We got into our room, and I took a 2 hour nap. The bed was the most comfortable on the entire two week trip! Room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. We met Joanna outside the room, and she could not have been more pleased that we were there. She was the person keeping the room clean and comfortable! She was a great ambassador for the hotel. The bar in the lobby was great, had cold, local beer. The porters in the lobby can hold bags if you don’t need to leave when you checkout, and they give good directions for around town. Hotel is a quick two minute walk to the train to the airport, which is very convenient for flying out of YVR. Great stay.Show More
