However when we reached, the lady at front desk questioned how we...Was upgraded to the most premium suite “Duo Suite” on my app in advance. Had also received confirmation for early checkin in advance. However when we reached, the lady at front desk questioned how we can possibly check in early? Next, she changed the type of upgraded room to a lower tier “Porta Nuova with sofa bed” - saying it was an upgrade with the room having both a shower stall and bath tub. In reality, there was no shower stall and the room was extremely dark with no sun light. And yet, she acted as if she was doing us a favor by upgrading us to the next tier. Bad experience esp when you get an advanced confirmation and are then downgraded. In spite of being a platinum elite member! No lounge either! The so called upgraded room had broken switches and shaky fixtures! Breakfast had absolutely no hot meal options for vegetarians. Yet the buffet is very pricey!! Nadia was nice enough to provide some rice and veggies after making a special request…not something that one would typically eat in the morning. but again, felt like there was no thoughtful planning for an expensive breakfast. If this is how Platinum elite members are treated, there are certainly better and cheaper hotel options out there!Show More

We opted to ad...We arrived for a 2 night stay and on checkin were informed it would be cheaper to add on breakfast (18 euro each as opposed to 25) at checkin rather than at the restaurant each morning. We opted to add breakfast on. The rooms are modern, but on the small side. Clean and adequate for a two night break. In the morning at the breakfast restaurant we were informed that we did not have breakfast paid so would have to pay 25 euros each. We asked them to check with reception who said we had not added it on at checkin. We went to reception and it was confirmed that no breakfast had been added to the booking. Rather than try and rectify the situation - ‘apologies have a free breakfast today and we can add tomorrow on for 18 euros’, we were told we needed to pay 25 euros each. No attempt to fix the situation at all. We declined and went out into Milan instead. We did have bar snacks in the bar in the evening and they were excellent and pretty good value. The bar staff were really friendly. Overall a nice enough hotel 10 minutes walk from Milan Central Station, but a sour taste on the breakfast issue.Show More

From the start, the reservations team was friendly and helpful in coordinating smooth arrangements for our group with everyone arriving at different times. The hotel’s location is excellent - just a short walk from Milan Central Station and the metro, and only a couple of stops from the Duomo and city centre. We enjoyed the generous breakfast selection, comfortable working spaces, well-stocked bar, and 24/7 gym, all of which made our stay extra comfortable and convenient. Most importantly, it was the people at Duo Milan who truly made the difference. A huge thank you to Mario and Gaia from the Reservations team; Antonella, Valentina, Ennio, Francesca and the team at Reception; and Angel, Jacopo, Federico, and Patrick from the bar.
