We stayed at ElAvenida Palace overnight to catch our cruise the next day. When we arrived at reception ,the staff said they upgraded our room which I assume they did . Our room was dated and definitel...We stayed at ElAvenida Palace overnight to catch our cruise the next day. When we arrived at reception ,the staff said they upgraded our room which I assume they did . Our room was dated and definitely needed a refresh as did the hallway outside our room.we were in room 950 and from about 11 pm til morning their was a noise on and off like possibly in the pipes. I mentioned it when we checked out the next morning and the staff did ask if we reported it the night before ,however we didn’t as we did not want to move rooms at that hour if that was the option. The hotel itself is a grand hotel and in a fabulous location ! If we are back in Barcelona I would not hesitate to stay there .I understand some rooms are renovated and are quite lovely which I would definitely request now that we know. The roof top bar and pool area though small is also a wonderful area and has been updated . I do hope in the upgrades of the hotel they keep some of the grandeur, especially of the lobby and some other areas.Show More

The room was spotless, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable — the perfect place to relax after a long day. Every detail felt thoughtfully considered, from the quality amenities to the excellent on-site dining options. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of variety, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was both elegant and inviting. Location-wise, it couldn’t be better. Everything I wanted to explore was just a short walk or drive away. I can confidently say this is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort, convenience, and top-notch hospitality. I can’t wait to come back!Show More

We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is central to everything & we did plenty of walking after enjoying a lovely hotel breakfast. The hotel is central to everything & we did plenty of walking after enjoying a lovely hotel breakfast. The staff were very friendly and the ladies who worked in the lobby bar took great care in making lovely cocktails, in fact the mojito was one of the best I've tasted. We stayed in a junior suite which had a city view. The suite was really spacious and had a really comfy bed. The one thing that spoilt sleep quality was the fact there were no curtains in the bedroom, just a see through screen. This meant that car lights shone through as did the early morning light. This could be so easily remedied and I would stay again if it was. All in all though we really enjoyed our stay.Show More

On first look the hotel is lovely. The duty manager greeted us personally and our rooms were ready early. The rooms are very comfortable (as are the beds) and the location is great. Unfortunately, the service did not meet expectations. It was difficult to get coffee pods for the room after the first day (especially to get decaf); we had to call one day to get housekeeping to freshen the room when it had not been done when we returned from our day of sightseeing. The front desk staff was not very friendly, except for Jairol--he was very helpful.Show More
