Our experience wasn’t terrible but also not great experience. The booking was non-refundable and I knew with Blue Jays & a concert that it would be difficult to get another booking elsewhere to accommodate our family. Just 2 days before our trip, I received a message asking if I would be willing to move locations from the initial booking due to a plumbing issues, at this point I felt like we had no other choice especially if the property was non-refundable. I asked for an earlier check-in since I’ve already paid & it’s not considered “a hotel”, I figured there’d be some compromise. We had a hard time finding the new building location & the check-in process. There’s no access to the pool or fitness centre, 1 elevator was out which caused 10-15 min delay in travel time all 4 days of the trip. Early check-in was an extra $100, the unit felt un-clean, dishes, some pans were still dirty so we didn’t bother cooking. I ended up vacuuming, mopping, & sanitizing. The quality of the new property rental was very poor based on the initial rental/booking photos, the views were different. The walls were patched up, floors dirty & a few tiles were broken, the main bedroom mattress was broken & uncomfortable. I was reminded not to approach security or ask any questions, it felt sketchy. During one night of our stay the fire alarm went off 4-5 times over a span of 4 hours. The water in the unit doesn’t get very cold either and no bottled water was supplied. Another issue is the elevator in the building, according to other residents usually only one elevator of the two elevators is operating and the building refuses to fix the broken one. Wait times for the elevator are long. The building is great for location though, Rogers Center is only a couple minute walk, as well as Scotiabank Arena and Union Station is a 5-10 minute walk. Decent sized unit for guests but poor build quality, doors don’t seem to latch and lock and everything in our unit looked to be slopped together last second.Show More

I said yes since it was last minute and was unlikely to find suitable accommodations on such late notice. The check in at the other property was a disaster. The only changes are minor suggestions to improve communication and check-in/out. I should note that they told me this property was an upgrade, due to a plumbing issue in the original suite. The good: Property was clean, spacious, and ideally located for downtown attractions. I enjoyed the view on the 62nd floor, facing the CN Tower. The less good: Constant noise on my floor, as if somebody was running a very large vacuum. I could hear it from my suite, but it luckily was minimal from the bedroom. Elevators take a very long time to reach the floor, in some cases up to 5 minutes. The curtains in the bedroom did not fully cover the window, so the room was never as dark as I would have liked while sleeping. A representative met me in the lobby to provide the key, but the phone number I had for this person was incorrect. Luckily he called me when I landed at YYZ to say he was at the building. They had my flight number, which was on time, so there was no need for him to be at the building lobby for 1.5 hours ahead of me. Upon leaving I was told to leave the key in the cupboard where I found it. After a prompt email exchange, they told me to leave it on the table and send them a photograph when I vacated the property. Overall, I would have preferred the check-in/out procedure to be more straightforward. I would have slept better if the curtains were more effective, and the noise in the hall was eliminated. But not a bad experience.Show More
