I have stayed at the Emporium Suites by Chatrium for 5-nights in one of their 2-bedroom suite and I can only recommand this hotel if you are in Bangkok. The hotel itself is actually located at the top...I have stayed at the Emporium Suites by Chatrium for 5-nights in one of their 2-bedroom suite and I can only recommand this hotel if you are in Bangkok. The hotel itself is actually located at the top of the Emporium Mall which is itself connected to the Phrom Phong BTS station, also providing access to the newer EMQuartier shopping centre accross the street. I choose this hotel because it's one of the few in downtown Bangkok to have an actual resort-size pool and also because it's located in one of the greener areas of the capital (the hotel is located right next to Benchasiri Park). You also have a couple of convenience stores within a 5 min walk (like 7eleven or Tops Daily) from the hotel in case you need to buy snacks, water bottles, hygiene products or even cigarettes. The staff of the hotel is very hospitable and professional. The breakfast, geared towards asian visitors, was quite acceptable but the choice remain limited for western visitors who may not prefer to eat rice, noodles or fish in the morning. The hotel is perfectly located to visit the Sukhumvit area and Siam Square area (10-min away by SkyTrain) where most tourist attractions are located. However, it's quite far from the newer areas of Bangkok like IconSiam, Wat Arun Temple or the Royal Palace, with long taxi trips that can easily exceed 30 to 60 min from/to the hotel depending on the time of travel due to Bangkok's extreme traffic congestion, especially during rush hour. I recommand this hotel for first-time or repeat visitors in Bangkok, looking for a convenient place to stay within reasonable distance of Bangkok's main tourist attractions.Show More
