Since February this year (2025), I decided to upgrade my stay to Fairmont Gold. Since then, I stayed at Fairmont Pacific Rim’s Fairmont Gold once every month or two months mostly during weekend. My most recent stays were back to back two November weekends.
All my Fairmont Gold stays during the year were very satisfied, enjoyable and relaxing. Patrick Lee, VIP concierge manager, and his staff provided my family member and I with top-notch, above-and-beyond 5-star experience. A big thank you!
I would like to stay in one of my favorite rooms in the Fairmont Gold room. They do their best to accommodate me and have the room ready upon my arrival. I always receive a warm greeting by last name – I heard a lot “Welcome back” - as soon as I step into the hotel lobby. The staff (from front desk to the Botanist restaurant, to the Fairmont Gold Lounge, Fairmont Spa, etc.) made a point to remember my last name, knowing that they greet many guests every day. It is amazing!
As said, all the staff provided top-notch services. I would like to thank Christina (at the front desk) for her efficient and effective check-in/check-out services, her pleasant personality, attention to details, and helped me booked a spa with my last minute request. I had also received excellent services from other front desk staff/managers such as Wilson, Olena, Laurie, etc.
I stayed in a Fairmont Gold room viewing both waterfront/mountain and Vancouver city. Room was newly renovated with upscale amenities. Room was clean and spacious. Housekeeping was great and always accommodated my schedule for housekeeping and turned down services.
I am a foodie. Hence, the Fairmont Gold Lounge was my must go from breakfast, to evening canapés, and late night desserts. I understand that the Fairmont Gold Lounge was newly renovated since I was lucky to be there the first day when it re-opened in February 2025. The services at the lounge were superb. As soon as I stepped in the lounge, my family member and I received warm welcome by staff, greeting us by last name. I received excellent services from William, Eric, Jay, and all the other staff (I couldn’t recall all their names) who work at the lounge. Thank you! The foods were nicely curated. I especially like the healthy breakfast items in the A La Carte menu. I ordered different items each time, and the staff even remembered what kind of latte I like to drink!
The Spa area was spacious and facilities were very good; Staff was nice and knowledgeable. I had a few spa treatments during my stays and was very satisfied with the spa treatments.
Last but not least, I realized I can do all my activities without leaving the hotel. It was pouring rain at one of my stays at the beginning of November. My family member and I had lunch at the Botanist restaurant inside the hotel – again delicious food and excellent services. I then had a business meeting at the Lobby Lounge & Rawbar inside the hotel. I was concerned that it might be too noisy for business meeting, but because of the seating arrangement and space, it turned out to be quiet enough to have conversations with no problem. After business meeting, it was time for the evening canapés at the Fairmont Gold Lounge. When I need to step out of the hotel for dinner later in the evening, the rain had already stopped.
I highly recommend the stay at Fairmont Pacific Rim’s Fairmont Gold. I am very satisfied and enjoyed staying on Fairmont Gold. Fairmont Pacific Rim’s Fairmont Gold is my definite hotel to stay when I am in Vancouver.Show More
