We stayed at the Fairmont post cruise. We booked a Gold room (trying to keep the cruise all inclusive feeling going). We arrived around 9am left our luggage with bell hop where it was placed on a lugg...We stayed at the Fairmont post cruise. We booked a Gold room (trying to keep the cruise all inclusive feeling going). We arrived around 9am left our luggage with bell hop where it was placed on a luggage cart in the public area and not secured with lock. We headed up to the 9th floor for check in and we’re given our keys and they would text when the room was ready. They advised we could start using the club lounge at noon. We received a text around 1 that our room was ready. The room was very clean, and updated. The bathroom had a tv in the mirror. This hotel seemed to care more about the guest experience there were even free ear buds in the gym, everything seemed well thought out. We were able to pair our iPad to watch Netflix or our home PVR. The club lounge had a great variety and appealed to my picky family, they had smarties and gummy worms, fresh cookies every night. The foods were good as well. The pool was warm and the indoor hot tub made it accessible no matter the weather. There is a food court located in the basement area which is accessible by the elevator and a short indoor walk there is a Subway, McDonalds, Tim Hortons, Starbucks, and more. There is also a Rexall. The convection centre across the street also has many restaurants and the digital orca and tear drop. We did not eat at the hotel as we had club access and the restaurant was expensive. The hotel does offer luggage service precruise for a tip. Very short walk across the street and you are at the terminal. The views are limited as Canada Place does block a lot. Over all this would be our first choice if we returned. We taxied to Prince of Whales $25, Vancouver Aquarium $20 and airport $45.Show More

Modern classic decor all around as you’d expect at the Fairmont. Check-in was easy with pleasant staff to assist. The room was nice nicely appointed. Designed with warm colors it felt relaxing. Bed was comfy and my view of the courtyard was nice. I enjoyed the breakfast in their ARC resturant in the lobby. It was buffet style but you could order eggs your way or other hot food. It was tasty! There was self parking in the garage for a fee. Checkout was smooth and I’d definitely stay again. There are 2 Fairmont Hotels within a 2 block radius. This one is the Fairmont that is more lowkey with the classic and timeless design and feel.Show More

The hotel is located in the Vancouver's waterfront area next to Canada Place. It's kind of a convenient location. The basement connects to an underground mall, with drug store, food court, and direct ...The hotel is located in the Vancouver's waterfront area next to Canada Place. It's kind of a convenient location. The basement connects to an underground mall, with drug store, food court, and direct access to the SkyTrain (but not the line that goes to the airport). However there are a couple of issues related to this location: 1. I didn't know Canada Place is a cruise terminal, and there were up to 3 cruise ships parked there every day during my stay. This meant a) There were lots of noises during the day and b) There was often a traffic congestion in the area. Your ride can easily be stuck in front of the hotel for like 10 minutes. Turns out many people staying here are cruise-goers. 2. For some reason GPS would often direct cars to an underground tunnel which has no access to the hotel. If you are taking a Uber make sure to check with the driver to use the right route, and if you are calling a Uber at the hotel, pray that they know the right route. The hotel was a bit old but still felt nice. My room was satisfying until I noticed one problem. Every night starting from 10PM or so I would hear loud machinery noise coming from outside that wouldn't stop until like 4AM. It was a deep noise that neither my earplug or white noise machine could block away. The lady at the front desk was nice enough to offer me upgrade to another room, but it didn't change anything. My theory is that something at the port is creating this noise, and it really bothered by sleep. The onsite restaurant was nice. The staff were pleasant and the breakfast was fine (but I wouldn't pay for it if it's not included in my package). Overall I think this would be a good hotel if it doesn't have the noise issue, but since it's noisy I don't find it a better choice than staying in the downtown.Show More

Valet parking was nice too! Front desk were very friendly, their full attention was given to us. We got 2 rooms, an accessible king room and a double double room. Both rooms were very spacious and clean, with large windows facing the waterfront. Our requests were accommodated in a few minutes! Although there was no complimentary breakfast, they did have coffee makers. We requested a microwave and it was brought to our room in a matter of minutes, with a small fee. We’ll be staying here everytime we go to Vancouver, Canada! Thank you Fairmont at Waterfront!Show More
