Room was average, okay for the price, clean but truly ordinary. Angry at lack of in-room coffee; paper cups were low brow; a couple of glass cups would have been nice ; hair conditioner in shower was clogged; room safe operated well, but it looked shopworn with outside paint crumbling. It took a full 24 hours for a fallen plastic glove on hallway floor to be picked up, but public hallways were otherwise clean. "Resort fees" were high especially for the level of accommodation. Only one restroom in casino/hotel was inconvenient; cleaning attendant was present, but the facility was shopworn. Casino was fine. All staff were friendly and helpful, especially a housekeeping supervisor on 15th floor who happened to be there. She helped us get AC fixed, which WAS NOT OPERATING WHEN WE CHECKED IN. She was very proactive. Problem was fixed promptly. For what was paid, the hotel was acceptable, except for the nearly 300 additional resort fee. On screen checkout worked fine. Finally, all pricing for anything throughout Las Vegas was off the wall expensive. $14 for an egg muffin at Johnny Rocket was outrageous. Havanna 1957 and Gordon Ramsey were both good. One person said it was cheaper to vacation in NYC. RuPaul was good. For a classic LV venue, the location was excellent, I felt comfortable and safe there, but it was a tad shopworn. Show More

Adjacent is the GO pool which is open to everyone. It’s loud and vibrant and you could hear the music, so the family pool was not a quiet retreat. I , myself, enjoyed the music. There’s luggage storage if your rooms not ready or leaves late. A Starbucks is on site. Ate at Havana 57 for dinner. The food was good. They also had a happy area there with $10 drinks (cheap for Vegas). They have a quiet nature area with live wildlife which I liked. The CX bus can take you right near the hotel from the airport for $2. It also can take you all the way to the Fremont St Experience. It only runs once an hour but it’s hugely cost effective. The room was clean and roomy. You need a key card to move the elevator so it’s secure. The only real problem I had was with the $50 a day resort fee. Most of the casinos charge this though. I would rather I was just charged more per night. Also, the fee only covers 2 devices. Total. If there are 2 or more in the room be prepared to pay extra. My wife and I each have a phone and tablet so we only used wifi on our phones. Paying that exorbitant resort fee and asking for extra fees for more than two devices is a money grab That could stop me from staying in the future as much as I like the hotel.Show More

Security is rude and grumpy! (Encountered four of them) Towel staff grumpy. Lifeguards spend more time chatting to eachother, eating or yelling across the pool to eachother about fellow guards than watching the pool. Elevators dirty, outdated, dangerous and never said the right floor number and arrow points opposite of way you are going. Rooms are horrific, bathroom so gross, peeling wallpaper and broken faucets in sink and shower, drapes half off, don’t close properly, and when tried to fix just fell more! Will never come here again. Also tried the Mexican restaurant, I ordered one set of wings, two came I said I only wanted one. The server gave me the worst look ever and was so condescending claiming I ordered two wings. Pina colada’s were nasty and when I asked for virgin for the kids, server made me feel bad. Guacamole had hair in it!! Taquitos had zero flavour! But because I was scared to tell our rude server, we just powered through. Didn’t finish anything and left. Also I was charged for the second wing order that I sent back. What a brutal experience. Will never return. Was giving it a chance will be going to another resort. Show More

The pool was recently remodeled and highly disappointing. Not colorful anymore like flamingo should be and they got rid of over half the space in the pool with the swim up bar. No islands sporadically placed in the water anymore to hang around. All muted colors and very much less appealing. Now onto my room. The shower leaked the entire time making me keep the door to the bathroom shut to sleep because of the dripping noise. Turn on the hot water on the sink just a tad and you’d get scalded. We did not have a shower curtain in the shower so the floor got soaked every time making us use up all our towels just for the floor. There was no fan to suck any humidity out of the bathroom. There was ketchup splattered on the adjoining room door. Our bed did not have a comforter or fitted sheet. Just a flat sheet laid over the mattress cover. I really loved the flamingo and its location but I’ll be checking out other locations next time.Show More
