The hotel itself (once you get into it) is nice, and the staff is welcoming. The room was fine. The problem was parking. The hotel is on a crowded side street. When we arrived (by car), the garage...The hotel itself (once you get into it) is nice, and the staff is welcoming. The room was fine. The problem was parking. The hotel is on a crowded side street. When we arrived (by car), the garage staff had no luggage carts. We had 2 suitcases, a number of smaller bags, and, after a 7 hour drive, other items scattered around. We were rushed through the drop-off process. Without a cart, there was no way for us to make sure that everything we wanted would be brought up to our room. We had to ask for specific items and my husband finally went to the garage to get what he needed. When we left, the garage staff somehow overlooked one small bag which happened to contain our lunch for the trip home and some flexible cold packs. My husband checked the sidewalk and nothing of ours was there/we had brought the bag with us to the street and have no idea how this bag went missing. We sent a message to the hotel, and a manager responded after a few days after the bag was located. He offered to ship it back, and we asked for the cold packs but not the bag or the food to be returned. The manager did not mention that we would have to pay for shipping. He did send the items back -- COD. The package arrived while we were on vacation out of the country so we could not accept it. We have no idea what happened to this package but we were billed $32.29 by UPS for their service. Needless to say, we are not planning to stay at this hotel again.Show More

When we ...With the reputation of the Four Seasons particularly on attention to details, and the money we have to pay for one-night stay, and for the food and beverage, I am disappointed with our stay. When we arrived at 1pm, understandably our room was not ready. But when we came back at check in time of 3pm, our room was still not ready. I would expect the front desk would advise the housekeeping that the guests had arrived at 1pm and asked them to rush the room to have it ready at least on time. I noticed two dirty spots on the carpet. I mentioned that to the bellman who delivered our luggage, and he told me that he would inform the responsible department(s). Nothing was done through our stay. Although the bellman was kind enough to follow up with me to advise me that our concerns had been passed on and will be rectified. I also noticed that despite the fact that the reservation was made for three people, only two sets of linen were in the bathroom. I have to ask for extra set of linen. The tissue box in the bathroom was almost empty, and there was no spare box available. The toilet paper had only 1 ply and not soft enough to our liking. I found that both the gym and the pool were in an untidy manner when I first visited. They were nice and clean the next morning when I visited again. When I ordered room service for dinner, the food presentation was very underwhelming, With Cavatelli Braised Beef, in my opinion the pasta was undercooked. The side dish of Grilled Broccolini has a burnt taste, but otherwise very bland. The waiter put the food tray on one of the beds, which I found it not very acceptable. The next morning, we had breakfast at the restaurant. I found the presentation of the food underwhelming. But worst is that my salmon benedict was at best warm, not hot. On the positive side, all the staff were professional and friendly, and tried to be helpful. The room was great and clean except the dirty spots that I mentioned above. I put down the similar comments to the hotel since my return home about 5 days ago, and I have not received any response, not even an acknowledgement.Show More

The location is also great. The staff are all really friendly, but I think they are overworked and overstretched. If you make request, the receptionist are very accommodating, but then staff might never arrived to the room to fulfill them. Or, sometimes requests are just forgotten. For example, I have an overactive mini fridge that is super loud and I asked for someone to come take a look, and despite a promise to come right away, nobody came. I also asked room service to bring a few more bottles of water to the room, and while the room service came, the water didn’t. These oversights don’t really seem like a big deal, but when you’re jetlagged and really tired, they can really ruin the experience. Also, I would not recommend rooms 1201 or 1118. Both have some weird electrical, mechanical whine throughout the room. If you have sensitive ears, this will drive you completely insane. Lastly, there is something wrong with the phone systems. It is impossible to call room service as in both rooms, these calls just went to a dial tone. I hope that some of these issues will see some improvement in the future, because the rooms really are very lovely, and the staff is very welcoming, and it’s a shame that the service is so uncoordinated.Show More
