This hotel is very nice with a modern style. The staff are friendly and welcoming. They are very knowledgeable about Tokyo tourist sites and take extra time to ensure your questions are fully answered...This hotel is very nice with a modern style. The staff are friendly and welcoming. They are very knowledgeable about Tokyo tourist sites and take extra time to ensure your questions are fully answered. The hotel occupies floors 4-13 with a rooftop patio (no bar or food) easily accessed on floor 13. The lobby, bar, and restaurant are all on the fourth floor. All of them accept cash, credit card (visa/MC), and charges to your room. The restaurant has tiered prices: guests pay about ¥1,000 less per person. The meal is subject to a 10% tax. The buffet breakfast is ¥3,800 per person (guest rate). The guest room we occupied, #905, was fairly quiet; we only noticed the nearby commuter trains as a muffled rumble that was easily ignored and did not disturb our sleep. The bathroom has s high tech toilet with heated seat, built in bidet, and an automated,quiet flush. The shower and separate tub are in the same enclosure. The shower measures about 1.2 m x 1m and is equipped with a low stool and rinsing container along with the typical upper and flex hose sprayer setup, much like many onsens (hot springs). The hotel participates in the luggage forwarding service, common throughout Japan. I've attaced a photo of the rate schedule which is based upon luggage dimensions and distance. Lastly, the hotel entry is about 15 meters from the Ginza subway station entrance. The Tokyo station is a 5 minute subway ride should you need to connect with a bullet train or surface bus. The Tokyo station is apparently THE MAIN CONNECTION station which mskes the hotel location very convenient. There are several restaurants within walking distance. We noticed windy mornings at street level. The subway passageways are warm. Lastly, pedestrians veer to their left when approaching others.Show More

Der Hauptbahnh...Das Gate Hotel in Tokio ist eine T O P Adresse. Mitten im Zentrum, umgeben von Restaurants und Shopping Gelegenheiten. Auch nachts, fühlt man sich immer sehr sicher auf den Strassen. Der Hauptbahnhof wo die Shinkansen Züge fahren, ist in 10-15 Gehminuten erreichbar. Der grosszügige Check In befindet sich im 4 Stock mit schöner Aussicht auf den Verkehr von Tokio. Die Mitarbeiter*innen sind alle sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Hotel ist sehr gepflegt, mit allem Modernen ausgerüstet, ein Ort wo man sich wohl fühlen kann. Wir hatten das Zimmer im 13.Stock in der Premium Lounge (nur mit dem Key zugänglich). Auf dieser Etage gibt es eine Bar die am Abend geöffnet hat, mit Gratis Getränken. Der Ausgang auf die offene Terrasse bietet eine tolle Aussicht auf die Große Kreuzung und den eindrücklichen Verkehr von Tokio. Die Zimmer sind feudal mit Dusch WC/geheiztem Sitz Ring, Kaffeemaschine, und Großem Bad. Alles war sehr sauber. Das Frühstückbuffet ein Traum was die Auswahl anging. Für uns gibt es nur noch das Gate Hotel in Tokio.Show More

I love this hotel! Located in Ginza with a subway entrance right outside the entrance, but also very close to all the fabulous shops and restaurants. The staff here are amazing! The bar staff were fun...I love this hotel! Located in Ginza with a subway entrance right outside the entrance, but also very close to all the fabulous shops and restaurants. The staff here are amazing! The bar staff were fun but professional, I’d go back just to see them again. Breakfast was delicious. We stayed in the deluxe king bed suites and my husband and I were lucky enough to be upgraded to a corner suite. Our room was beautiful and so huge! I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough and I can’t wait to visit again.Show More
