Excellent service, nice rooms, ideal location for many activities in the city. The property has the convenience of a cozy breakfast room that doubles as bar, and the rooms include well-stocked mini-bars ($10 a day bar credit was a nice surprise), daily coffee pods (we drink a lot of coffee in the mornings so requested more and were always accommodated.) Enjoy lovely bonus of small balconies for relaxing with a drink and a city view in between city treks. We stayed at the top in 251, and it was a super suite. Nice living space for chilling inside if you don't want to take advantage of the balconies (2 exclusively available for this suite.) The bathroom is modern and comfortable. Reception and management was very friendly and helpful (best recommendation for car service to airport, etc.) You have many choices for lodging in NYC, and your decision can make or break your city stay. Stay at the Gotham and remove all worry! It's great!Show More

The only reason I marked it down slightly is our room was a little tired… they knew we were a family of 3 but only gave us four hangers for clothes and one robe… there was very little storage space and the room was smaller than what had been described. Every day we were only given 2 towels when there were 3 of us so we had to ask for extra towels every day. Had our expectations been set a little lower I would have scored 5 star but if if you oversell you have to deliver and I feel we were oversold. Can’t speak more highly of all the staff who went and above and beyond and were all so friendly. Everything we wanted to see and do was just steps away, which made our trip seamless and stress-free. The property was spotless from top to bottom, and the level of service was truly exceptional. Every single staff member—from the bellmen, to the host stand, to housekeeping—was incredibly courteous, professional, and genuinely helpful. The hotel was fine, it served a purpose for us for 2 nights. We had the Gotham suite and I was a bit disappointed to be honest. The bathroom was teeny tiny with zero counter space or storage. The bathroom was teeny tiny with zero counter space or storage. In fact the entire room had no storage. There was a closet and that’s it, no drawers nothing. It was bizarre. The towels were small and scratchy and there were only 2. The bed was like sleeping on concrete and we didn’t have access to the balcony, the door was locked and would not open. Like I said it was fine, but I don’t think I would stay here again.Show More
