Close to all the main sig...Our experience at this hotel was one of the highlights of our whole Italy trip. Firstly, the location is PERFECT - it's walking distance to literally everything in Florence. Close to all the main sights, best restaurants, bars, shops, you name it. Service was also great and extremely friendly / attentive. We checked in a bit early and they immediately had someone come tag all of our bags to store them. Once we checked in they brought them all up. The real highlight of this stay though was the room. I had booked a regular deluxe room but upon check-in was told by the lovely front desk agent that they had upgraded us. He said his colleague would have to escort us to our room and we weren't sure why but we just went with it. Once we got there we realized why ... the room was INCREDIBLE. They put us in a room called Suite Beatrice. Everything about it was perfect, the stunning ceiling and artwork, the lovely bathrooms, the balcony, the incredibly powerful two zone AC (both bedrooms had independent AC controls which is a GAME CHANGER). We didn't have breakfast at the hotel since it wasn't included in our booking but we did take a look and the spread looked wonderful. Also, you don't have to have a suite to enjoy this hotel - our friends had a regular deluxe room and their room was great too! Good size, clean / updated, great bathrooms. Highly recommend.Show More

I really liked it and the family did as well. It’s an old building and you really get the “we’re not in the states anymore” vibe, which you want in Florence. We had a nice view of some of the towers and palazzi. Absolutely prime location. Caveat: if lots of plugs and USB ports in at the top of your list or if you like sleek and modern, go elsewhere. This is a place to disconnect from the XXIst Century and soak up Florence. The rooftop bar is a must. Breakfast is excellent ent but it is not allowed to take away anything- even coffee. We need coffee to wake up so I had to leave to get it. There is a cafe open at 7:30 within a minute. Go right out the hotel door, take the first right and the cafe is on a little square opposite a Dante museum. Overall, a great stay. Overall, this was a terrificShow More

The reception area was dream-like and receptionists were friendly and welcoming. A gym was available but unfortunately, didn't have time to make use of it. 2 lifts are avaliable for guests, which reduces waiting time. The view from the terrace was spectacular and the location of the hotel was perfectly centred and is close proximity to restaurants, enoteche and attractions. The C1 and C2 buses go through via del Proconsolo, which is extremely useful for those who do not like or cannot walk.Show More
