Upon my arrival at the hotel, I was immediately struck by a strong, unpleasant odor in the surrounding area, reminiscent of a toilet. When I approached the front desk to inquire about the possibility...Upon my arrival at the hotel, I was immediately struck by a strong, unpleasant odor in the surrounding area, reminiscent of a toilet. When I approached the front desk to inquire about the possibility of an early check-in, the receptionist was unhelpful and responded in a rude manner. Despite specifically requesting a non-smoking room, the room I was given had an overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke. When I contacted the front desk to report the issue, I was informed that it was a non-smoking floor. However, the odor was so intense that I found it difficult to breathe. Eventually, a staff member was sent to inspect the room and brought an air purifying device. I was asked to wait outside while the issue was addressed. Upon returning, the smoke odor had diminished slightly, but was replaced by an overpowering chemical smell, which made it impossible for me to sleep that night. It was, without a doubt, the worst hotel stay I have ever experienced. I was visiting Pontianak on a business trip, and will certainly never return to this hotel ever again. Show More
