My stay at Highfield Cottage was amazing. The owner lives next door and is there for you if you have any questions. The apartment itself is much bigger than I thought. You have a comfortable bedroom,...My stay at Highfield Cottage was amazing. The owner lives next door and is there for you if you have any questions. The apartment itself is much bigger than I thought. You have a comfortable bedroom, a kitchen with everything you need, a bathroom and a big living room with a cozy fireplace. They provide wood for the fireplace, so you can enjoy your evenings in front of a warming fire. My dog was very welcome and there's even a "dog-proof" garden next to the cottage where your furry friend can enjoy the time. You reach Edinburgh old town by car after about 30-40 minutes. For me that wasn't too much time because I liked staying at a quiet, not crowded place more. There's a train station close to the cottage but I didn't look it up.Show More
