I was in room 775 on the atrium side. (There was an event at the hotel, so everyone had to be dropped off at the tower side.) The room had 1 king bed and similar to most hotel rooms, except larger. The room had 1 king bed and similar to most hotel rooms, except larger. Room service, or in room dining, can no longer be done on the telephone; one must scan a QR code. Then you order with your phone. The food came in a paper bag, with plastic utensils. I had the Chicken quesadilla, and it was good. It’s better to eat in the bar/restaurant by the lobby, though; fewer fees. Try the brisket plate. There were no bars of soap, and the liquid soap is 3 feet from the sink and bolted to the wall so you can't move it. The first floor of the Hilton Anatole is enormous and filled with artwork. It took nearly 2 hours to see it all, and I don't feel like I took enough time to appreciate it. It is by far the best art collection in a hotel that I have ever seen. The art is mostly from Southeast Asia, predominantly Myanmar, with a few European paintings thrown in for good measure. Some of the art is Chinese, going as far back as the 1400s. The website doesn’t do it justice. Not even close. There is also a room with a rotating display of artwork from art students, but the door was locked. Even so, I could look through the glass walls and see pretty well. I had trouble getting Wi-Fi on my iPhone. The login screen wouldn't come up. FYI, the fix is to go into the browser and type myfna.comshow more

From the moment I inquired, she conducted herself with a mastery of manners that would make even the Queen take notice. She answered each of my many questions with patience, insight, and good humor, offering not only wisdom about the hotel but delightful recommendations for the city beyond its walls. Her laughter was genuine, her professionalism unwavering, and her charm utterly disarming. Ultimately, I didn’t mind the extra charge, but I wish the messaging about how that worked had been clearer when 1. I checked in, or 2. When I approached the water park entrance. The water park attendants basically just told me I wasn’t allowed in, without any instructions on what it would take to become eligible. They weren’t overtly rude, but they also weren’t very interested in helping figure anything out. That said, the pools were nice, the drinks expensive, and the access to the fitness center made it worth the expense. I got to hit a racquetball around for the first time in about 30 years. The room was fine.show more

The stay started rough—reservation mishandling which cost us $1,000 due to poor Hilton honors communication. Upon getting to our room we noticed we had no AC and it was that way even after talking with the front desk for two days. Our “city view” we paid for was just seeing the top of a roof. However by day three, management redeemed it with a suite upgrade, skyline views, and birthday touches. Denay and Savannah at the pool area stood out for their warmth and professionalism. Verdict: Expect inconsistency. When it’s good, it’s magical, but the rocky start made our first days more stressful and too costly. Special note: Dinner at SER was flawless—world-class food, service, and breathtaking sunset views.show more
