The hotel itself is nice with good sized, clean rooms, in a great location with plenty to...We booked a suite for 3 adults (sleeps up to 4) and were looking forward to an excellent couple of days away. The hotel itself is nice with good sized, clean rooms, in a great location with plenty to do locally as well as being close to Angel station if you want to visit other areas in London. On arrival the greeting was unenthusiastic but we headed up to our room to check out our suite. The room was only set up for 2 people, with 2 towels, only the double bed set up and not enough tea / coffee / water for us all. We phoned reception to request that the room was adjusted to accommodate our 3 person booking and they confirmed they would bring up glasses and water and deal with the rest of the list while we were out for dinner. Not the best start but at least it sounded like someone was on top of it. Sadly on our return the sofa bed was made but still no towels, tea/coffee and mugs. It was late and we were tired so we agreed to call again in the morning. We had to call twice in the morning to get this resolved, when all we wanted to do was have a coffee and a shower, without having to share mugs and towels. There was no apology and it felt like we were asking for something that was not part of what we'd booked or that was inconvenient for them to deal with. On check out, we were not asked how our stay was and had to ask to speak to a manager to give some feedback. We were told he was "in a meeting" and reluctantly they asked for the manager to come and see us. He did take notes and apologised that all had not gone as well as we'd hoped and confirmed he would look into what had happened and email us back. Sadly no email... For a property of this caliber, and the price we paid for the suite I expected a higher level of hospitality. If you’re looking for a nice place to stay and don’t mind minimal engagement with staff, this hotel could still be a good choice. But if excellent service is a priority for you, you might want to explore other options.Show More

Everyone, from reception to housekeeping took ext...I was very nervous taking a solo trip to London, but I needn't have been, since I stayed at the Hilton Angel Islington hotel-and my stay was perfect! Everyone, from reception to housekeeping took extremely good care of me and my room was lovely and comfortable. In particular, Jamie in the bar/restaurant took very good care of me. I had an injury during my stay and he was so kind to keep me fed and got me a huge bucket of ice for my wounds! Also, OJ who I got to see from check-in and afterwards, was helpful with directions, advice, cabs/tubes/trains-I seriously cannot thank the Angel and its staff enough for being such a positive and amazing part of my trip.
