Had two rooms for first few nights (with loads of luggage!). As Diamond members (both husband and myself) we were recognized and both rooms upgraded. One was a small room with one bed and side view (more quiet?). Not sure I’d want a smaller room! Big enough for two people but very “cozy”. The other was front/park view and much more spacious with King bed although a bit noisier with windows open, with windows closed, we didn’t notice noise. We had the most confusing reservations (multiple bookings with points, business travel nights, etc.) and the staff could not have been more accommodating to make sure we were comfortable and able to stay in the same room our full two week stay. Everyone, from housekeeping, breakfast crew, maintenance, day reception and night reception were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Room was clean, shower pressure was very nice and well functioning AC was a pleasant bonus. Both rooms had mini fridge and normal Hilton amenities. Location could not be better. Hyde Park across the street, beautiful 15 min walk through it to Kensington High St. Queensway station literally 1 min walk, around the corner and Bayside station only a 5 or so min walk. Bus station out front of hotel as well. All these options came in very handy during the tube strike! The hotel is older and small but perfectly efficient. Breakfast selection was decent but did get old after such a long stay and no variations day to day. One thing that could be better is the time it takes to order omelette or porridge. Takes 20+ min bc it comes from the attached restaurant. Overall, had a great stay and already booked for next visit in November.Show More

The view out to Hyde park and Kensington Palace was one of a kind. Location is close to two Metro stations so gives you two line options. Close walk to Notting Hill and dining there. A really nice picturesque walk through park gets you to main London area and Buckingham Palace if you have time (about 1 hour) The bed was really comfortable and had to have been a Californian King it was so big.Show More

It is an old historical building converted to a hotel but the staff were wonderful and very responsive to any problems. The hotel is all about location, location, location. The London subway was right next to us and there are many buses, of course. However it was the fact that you walked out of the hotel, across the road and straight into Hyde Park. What a beautiful and calming place! In a busy city it was gave the beauty and peace that you needed, particularly as I was recovering from a nasty virus. Next to us was Queensway, a busy street that had all the conveniences that a tourist needs. And you could easily find a hop on and hop off bus close by.Show More
