What started out as a good first day went downhill real fast. I am a Diamond hilton member and have stayed in about 60 hiltons in different cities worldwide. Hands down this was my worst experience. ...What started out as a good first day went downhill real fast. I am a Diamond hilton member and have stayed in about 60 hiltons in different cities worldwide. Hands down this was my worst experience. First the positives, the location is super convenient to the central station and metro lines making it a breeze to get anywhere. Breakfast is a good spread with personalized coffee and omellete stations. Rooms are modern and adequate size. Cleanliness and decor in line with hotels of similar standard. The front desk and concierge lack basic customer service skills and the lack of warmth and hospitality is appalling! First after a long day touring Milan, I had an early start the next day so I set wake up call for 6.15 am the next morning. I get a call to confirm I meant 6.15 am 20 seconds later and despite that no call happens next mornng and I missed my tour to Lake como and lugano which was at 7.15 am. As a result, I missed my tour to Lake Como and Lugano that was departing at 7:15 a.m.—a once-in-a-lifetime experience my family had been looking forward to. I am told it was a system glitch. The tour operator had a no refund policy for cancellations within 24 hrs but was able to switch times to a later departure for a no show fee. Later that same day, when we returned from touring Milan, my daughter wanted to dine at a well-known local restaurant with three branches. She approached the concierge for assistance in calling to check availability. Shockingly, he flat-out refused, saying that “some restaurants don’t pick up” and that he “knew better,” so there was no point in calling. He didn’t even bother to offer an alternative or suggestion. We didn’t have a local SIM card—only a data plan and Google Voice—but managed to call ourselves via WhatsApp. The restaurant answered immediately, and we ended up dining there with no issue whatsoever. This level of arrogance, apathy, and unprofessionalism is unacceptable at any hotel, let alone a Hilton property. Offering me 20,000 Hilton Honors points as compensation is frankly insulting. I don’t travel to Milan often, and no number of points can make up for a ruined family experience and the complete lack of hospitality shown by your staff. Hilton Milan should be ashamed. If you value your time, money, or family memories, there are many far better hotels in this beautiful city—ones with warm, competent, and genuinely helpful staff who understand what hospitality truly means.Show More

In pa...Our group of travelers started off our two-plus weeks in Europe with a short stay in Milan. My wife and I are Diamond members, so we were happy to find a Hilton in such a convenient location. In part because we were coordinating seven rooms, my wife and I messaged the hotel before our stay, and the hotel staff was very helpful. Once we checked in, we found out that everyone we encountered was friendly, professional, and spoke excellent English. We were disappointed in the quality of the upgraded room we received as Diamond members. The room had a comfortable bed, Hilton-quality sheets/duvet, and good pillows. The room was quiet, and we didn't hear our neighbors. Unfortunately, the one negative, and it was a problem, was that the room thermostat was “set” at an uncomfortable temperature. Despite having two portable fans, we were never able to get the room to a comfortable level. In the hotel’s defense, it was August and unseasonably warm. As a Diamond member, the breakfast buffet is included in the room rate, and it was of excellent quality, served by friendly staff who were efficient. The Executive Lounge was being renovated, so it is currently located on the first floor, adjacent to the restaurant. We were underwhelmed. The station for taking a train or catching the Metro is a very short walk, just a long block away. There are also plenty of restaurants within walking distance. We dined at a restaurant recommended by the restaurant, and it was very good.Show More

The location is excellent, only about a 5 minute walk from the central station. We arrived prior to our check-in time, but were able to store our luggage at the hotel and they had it waiting in our room when we arrived later. We were in an executive king room, which was quite comfortable. Plenty of power outlets. The wi-fi signal was outstanding with speeds around 80 Mbps. We were a bit concerned about the outside noise at first – cars honking incessantly in the late afternoon and early evening. However, that mostly stopped by bedtime. Breakfast was included in our stay and it was a good selection each day. The only slightly annoying part was that staff required guests to sit in a specific area of the breakfast room. It made the experience feel more crowded than it needed to be. The executive lounge was also included in our stay. It wasn’t quite as nice as other Hilton lounges that we’ve experienced, but was a good place for a snack at the end of the day. Something sweet would be a nice addition to their offerings. Overall, it was a nice and central place to stay in Milan.Show More

I forgot their names, but they were lovely ladies and gentlemen — from the chefs preparing our omelettes, to the baristas crafting our coffees, to the servers engaging with us so warmly. Their genuine passion for what they do truly shines through. It’s people like them who make a stay more meaningful and unforgettable. We’ve stayed in many hotels during our travels across Europe, but we especially appreciated the exceptional hospitality we received during our short stay here. I would like to commend the Food & Beverage Breakfast team at Hilton Milan Central for exemplifying what true Hilton hospitality is all about.Show More
