Once we walked out on the balcony we realized we could possibly be able to see t...We had an excellent time at this Hilton. We had never been to this Hilton before. When we arrived we were given a room. Once we walked out on the balcony we realized we could possibly be able to see the Riverwalk better if we got a different room. The room we had looked at 1st was very nice, very clean but I told my husband why not at least ask. We haven't touched anything except the balcony door. My husband talked to the service desk. The lady that checked us in was extremely nice. She was also the person he talked to about seeing if we could switch rooms. She made our day by allowing us to switch rooms. We loved the view and the room was very clean and comfortable. The next day because there are so many choices we asked the gentleman that was behind the valet desk named Leroy C. about places to eat. We went where he suggested. It was an excellent choice. We spoke with him when we came back. He was very personable. Leroy C. and Beth are definitely assets to the Hilton. We will definitely be back.Show More

This hotel is in a great location by the River Walk, so close to everything. We had a room on the 12th floor over looking some of the river walk. It had been refurbished at some point as it was clean ...This hotel is in a great location by the River Walk, so close to everything. We had a room on the 12th floor over looking some of the river walk. It had been refurbished at some point as it was clean and very modern.the hotel also has a riverside restaurant which we ate at. The menu is very minimal but the food we ate was excellent . You can sit either inside or outside, both looked fine. We sat outside and enjoyed the view. Next door to the restaurant was an Irish pub, so after we finished dinner, we went there for some drinks (Guinness on draught) and then had a walk around the river walk. We went to bed at 9pm but were kept awake by the volume of the music which went on for several hours hours. They do provide ear plugs and reviews do mention this. So if you are after some peace and quiet, this is not the place for you! All in all a very nice hotel.Show More

I booked through Hotwire express deal for 4 people and they gave me two double beds! (It showed two queens when I booked) I tried to upgrade and front desk said these were the only rooms they have. No sofa or anything. The beds were horrible, no memory foam and uncomfortable because the mattresses were used up already. The ceilings were super low and I heard everything that was happening outside on the hallway. This was like a room in NYC nothing like Texas. Parking was a scam. Only valet and $50 for the night! Pool area was small and pretty sad loooking on the 5th floor with construction area all around this place so no nice views at all. Never again!Show More
