Looking online it appeared the...I booked a room here a week or more a head of my planned stay, and despite my request to have a room away from the elevator I discovered I was put next to the elevator. Looking online it appeared the hotel had several rooms available so I went to the desk and requested a different room. I was promptly told there were no other rooms. I directly replied I didn’t believe it and requested management, who then also told Mr there were no other options. I then entered the room, and after 2 hours of listening to the freight train like noise thar was the elevator, I checked the internet again, and it appeared there were several rooms available. I decided I was either going to get a different room or leave. I returned to the front desk where a different manager apologized for the inconvenience and quickly put me in another room. I appeared from where I sit that the first two employees I confronted were either lazy, lying or perhaps both. To be fair the second set of employees resolved the problem with courtesy and efficiency. But at the the same time that room should not be sold as a hotel room as it is very noisy. One of the nice things about this hotel is there are a lot of ethnic and other restaurants within 2 blocks.Show More

Our first room was on the 25th floor and backed onto a ‘plant room’. The noise through the wall was so loud that we couldn’t get to sleep. After an hour, we asked to change rooms. Receptionist asked for our room number said ‘ah, yes’ and offered us a choice of two other rooms. Breakfast food area was quite small, a good selection of fresh fruit, cold meats, cheeses and cooked items. Waffle machines also. Fruit and cold selection were all under glass covers which guests had to reach under to serve themselves. There is also an all day takeaway lobby service for pastries, sandwiches, hot and cold drinks. Location isn’t near the Golden Gateway Bridge although you can see it in the distance. We didn’t have dinner there as just around the corner is a street with plenty of nice restaurants.Show More
