My husband, along with his brother and wife, spent 5 nights at Hotel American in Venice. We all highly recommend this hotel and would easily return there should we ever go back to Venice. The staff we...My husband, along with his brother and wife, spent 5 nights at Hotel American in Venice. We all highly recommend this hotel and would easily return there should we ever go back to Venice. The staff were incredibly helpful, organizing water taxis, making reservations and helping us understand the vaporetto system! Our room was very clean and spacious, especially the modern bathroom. We love the location because it’s quiet and away from the busy areas yet easily accessible as it is a 3 minute walk to the Accademia Bridge. Happy Hour happens everyday 5:30-6:30 which included cicchetti! There are many excellent restaurants in the neighbourhood; be sure to ask the front desk for recommendations as we did and thus ended up at a lovely local restaurant that we probably would never have found on our own. Breakfast was a mixture of American and European easily meeting everyone’s needs. The pastries and other goodies were irresistible! Overall, we have only positive comments about this lovely hotel. Die Akademia Brücke ist in 5 Minuten zu erreichen um auf die andere Seite des Canal Grande zu gelangen, ohne ein Vaporretto nehmen zu müssen. Neben dem Hotel ist ein nettes Restaurant mit Tischen drinnen und auch draußen am Kanal, mit einer sehr guten Küche zu normalen Preisen. Das Frühstück im Hotel ist sehr gut und der Cappuccino fantastisch. Wir waren nicht zum ersten mal in diesem Hotel und auch nicht zum letzten mal. Wir hatten das Zimmer im ersten Stock mit dem großen Balkon zum Kanal raus ( Nr 201) , es ist alles nicht sehr groß, aber sehr gemütlich und das Bad modern mit großer begehbarer Dusche. Es gibt noch eine hübsche kleine Terrasse . Im Gebäude nebenan gibt es Zimmer im EG um einen kleinen Innenhof herum.Show More

We very much appreciated staying in Dorsoduro and being so close to the Acca...We loved the small, personalized feel of the hotel, as well as our lovely room and the spectacular views from our balcony. We very much appreciated staying in Dorsoduro and being so close to the Accademia Bridge, which allowed us to walk nearly everywhere. The staff were helpful in making dinner reservations and providing guidance on how best to reach Burano/Murano and the airport. The breakfast was also excellent! We thank you for a wonderful stay and look forward to returning to this wonderful hotel in the Spring.Show More
