Perfect location in the heart of Montreal and across the street from the train station. There had been a snowfall shortly before our arrival. The inclined sidewalk leading to the hotel entrance had no...Perfect location in the heart of Montreal and across the street from the train station. There had been a snowfall shortly before our arrival. The inclined sidewalk leading to the hotel entrance had not been completely shoveled. While attempting to get to the door I became totally bogged down in mounds of slushy snow chunks with my suitcase and cane. Luckily two gentlemen leaving the hotel took my suitcase and escorted me with my cane out of the mess. There was no excuse for only shoveling part of the sidewalk especially given the wet icy nature of the snow and the inclined walk. Once having checked in (it was approaching 11 pm) we entered our room only to find that one of the beds had been used. The linens were in disarray and some of the room lights were on. Upon informing reception of the situation they did give us another room and escorted us to the new room. The demeanor of our escort made me feel like he did not believe what we had told him and he was going to check the new room personally to make sure we weren't pulling some type of scam. Not the experience you expect. Will not stay there again.Show More

Was not pleasant to be filling our water bottles or getting water for the coffee pot from a faucet...The staff are very friendly . The bedding is very tired and should be replaced - like now! pilled comforter with black pilling ... Need real garbage cans not the little tiny things that can barley hold the coffee cup and where are the recycling bins ? The pool - adults - you have a room - please use it . Pool is small given that it is a draw to the hotel resulting in overcrowding . Great location to the train station . Ordered food to take out at the restaurant and the server was rude and told me that I had to have it delivered to my room. So ya... that was EXPENSIVE .. and not worth it . McDonalds and Subway across the street or a walk anywhere to a much cheaper and better restaurantShow More

Competing hotels in this class do so and they do so in abundance. This seems cheap to me. Can’t expect guests to drink from the bathroom faucet next to the toilet. Another annoying issue was that when I arrived there was no do not disturb sign in the room. I wanted one because I don’t like it when overly eager housekeeping staff start banging on doors early in the morning to get into the room. I wish they were less eager and less early…anyhow it turned out to be a big commotion to get me a do not disturb sign as the front desk did not have any. Eventually I got it. I like the hotel but next time I’ll probably stay at the Westin where they give you free water for the room.Show More
