I just want to preface this by saying- I think this is the first bad review I’ve ever written. My husband and I were so excited to stay in Paris and this hotel just was not it. My husband and I were so excited to stay in Paris and this hotel just was not it. We walked into the hotel and a hotel guest was calling the concierge mean and an “a**hole”. We don’t know what happened but after talking to the concierge after the hotel guest left, we sided with the hotel guest. The concierage threatened to call the police and threatened to give away her passport info/name if she didn’t apologize. My husband and I just stood there… The room itself is very small, the shower door didn’t close all the way, so water was always coming out, and after researching for hotels and places that had AC, I was excited because this hotel had it but then the AC broke (which I know is out of their control). But they didn’t tell us, until I called the front desk and then they offered to bring us a fan. The highlight though was Remy- the man who served us breakfast and coffee in the morning. He was so sweet and kind and we loved them. Overall, I would say that I wouldn’t ever recommend this hotel to someone staying in Paris. It’s not worth the money and you could get a better experience somewhere else. Show More

First the positives: The staff was outstanding--professional and friendly. Our room was also reasonably clean. Now, on to the problems, which relate to facilities and amenities. Don't trust anything on their website--there is no bar. There is no room service. I didn't even bother asking if the sauna was real. More problematic was the elevator being out of service for all 5 days of our stay on the fourth floor. If you're young and fit, you might not mind. But if you aren't, the poor room accessibility via tight, uneven spiral staircase is prohibitive, exhausting, and trip-altering. (And they opted to touch up paint in the stairwell at the same time??) I sympathize that mechanical things break down, but the delay in repair, in combination with the lack of amenities advertised on the website was very disappointing. This was not on the staff, but on the management. We will not be booking again.Show More

On our last night, the spa was unusable due to bugs in the jets and staff forgetting to prepare the room for us we booked the hotel to enjoy these amenities that were advertised. The room was dirty upon arrival - pillows had makeup stains and hair and we were consistently locked out, wasting time and causing stress. It took over an hour and three follow-ups just to get replacement pillows. The buffet food was also covered in bugs on our first day, making it inedible. Despite raising these issues, service was slow and unhelpful. We expected a clean, safe, and relaxing stay, but instead encountered poor hygiene, constant inconveniences, and little accountability. We booked it for the view, yet from the 3rd floor you only see the top of the Eiffel Tower misleading and disappointing. During a heatwave in August, we were told the AC was broken. The “solution” offered was to open the windows, which meant being attacked by mosquitoes all night. We barely slept. We emailed the hotel about this issue and received no response completely unprofessional. On top of that, our room had an open hole in the wall, covered only with a piece of paper (see photos). In a city where pests are common, this is unacceptable and even concerning. Nice staff can’t make up for broken facilities, poor communication, and a lack of basic room standards.Show More
