I've traveled the world and this is by far the best hotel experience I've ever had. And it really is an experience. From the moment I checked in, the attentive, friendly staff made me feel welcome. From the moment I checked in, the attentive, friendly staff made me feel welcome. Especially after a long, sixteen-hour travel day. Having visited Tokyo before, I knew that space is a premium, and that my room would be small. But it didn't feel small. Every square inch is smartly used. Minimal, modern design. Everything spotlessly clean. Bidet-equipped toilet. Wonderful shower with perfect water pressure. Eminently comfortable bed with good pillows. Adjustable lighting combinations. Fast wi-fi. And the highlight for me, a floor to ceiling, room-length window that looks out onto the awe-inspiring cityscape below. Like a Cinemascope view. It's an invitation to both feel at home, and part of the urban wonderland of Tokyo. Even though the hotel is located in bustling Shinjuku, the rooms are high enough up that you don't hear any of the noise below. For my stay, I added the breakfast-included option, and am so glad I did. There's a complete buffet with many western and eastern options (loved the salad greens, caponata and detox water), plus a specials menu option (oh, how I'll miss those stone-oven baked eggs). I can well believe it! The hotel is in a great location and a short walk from the station which has rail and underground links to everywhere. Our room was excellent and on a high floor with a great view over the city. We used starbucks at the bottom of the hotel for breakfast, but used the bar regularly and ate dinner once in the hotel and it was excellent. Great staff and service. Below the hotel is an entertainment complex with a foodhall, gaming areas, cinema etc which is great fun to see. All in all, a great choice if you have a few days in Tokyo and want to see the buzz and eat at some decent restaurants.Show More
