Great location on the periphery of the pedestrian streets and near the Gran Via. Easy access to major tourist spots and the Metro (though we chose to walk). Easy access to major tourist spots and the Metro (though we chose to walk). The hotel breakfast is superb—wonderful selection of all that one needs to start the day off. The only drawback was the room. Bed was comfortable but the foam pillows not so much. The floor had not been swept/vacuumed/mopped in a very long time based on the thick layer of dust under the bed. The bottom of our own white slippers were black with dirt after four days with hair collecting on them as well. But the worst problem was the sewer gas that would come up out of the shower drain. After a day we figured out to cover it with a wet towel which stopped the gas. We told the hotel the night before we left and they offered another room but since we figured out how to control it, we stayed put. We should have spoken up sooner but honestly, just forgot as we were really enjoying the city. Also, if your room is on the corner of Abada and de La Salud streets, there is a parking garage sign that is exceptionally bright and can illuminate the room at night given the curtain doesn’t fully cover the window. We would stay again as the staff are very helpful, the location is excellent, the breakfast is outstanding, the bar area is nice, the hotel is modern, and the room is quiet. But we will flag the floor and bathroom immediately if it happens again.Show More
