From the moment we stepped inside, the grandeur of the lobby once again wrapped around us — the elegant wood accents, the classic furniture and the nostalgic atmosphere that makes this hotel truly unique. Check-in was smooth and friendly, just as we remembered. Our room was spacious and spotless, with a view of the beautiful North Garden, where we enjoyed the serene atmosphere. Breakfast at the Indigo Restaurant continues to be a pleasant mix of Asian and European dishes, served buffet style with courteous and attentive staff. We again took our time there, enjoying the slow start of the day and watching life unfold outside. Special mention goes to the service desk, who handled everything with professionalism and warmth, and to the persons who cleaned our room, whose work was absolutely excellent. Also a warm compliment to the men at the front door, always service-oriented, helpful and ready with a friendly greeting, they set the tone every time we left or returned. Hotel Majapahit remains one of the most memorable places we have ever stayed, and even with a few minor points for improvement, it fully deserves our score of 9.Show More

I can’t compare this hotel with its Sister hotels that were owned by the Sarkies brothers in Singapore (Raffles), Penang (E &O) and Yangon (Strand) . I have been to all the 4 hotels found in south eas...I can’t compare this hotel with its Sister hotels that were owned by the Sarkies brothers in Singapore (Raffles), Penang (E &O) and Yangon (Strand) . I have been to all the 4 hotels found in south east Asia and this was in the worst state. The hotel is also the cheapest stay compared to the other 3 hotels so I did not expect much . Being a 5 star hotel it was surprising that they don’t offer then down service or if you ask for water , they will always deliver 1 bottle Instead of the 2 bottles requested . The light control switch is pretty weird s s you need to move out of the bed to switch off all the lights . The hot water literally flies hot and cold and the bathtub and the toilet needs a good scrub and clean . The soap smelt bad that we resorted to using our own soap. There are layers of dust in the room indicative of the room not being serviced regularly . The food choices at the hotel is rather expensive and very average that we don’t bother to eat breakfast the next day at the hotel . The swimming pool lacked any attendant and essentially it was just an area where you need to take your drinks out from the fridge to consume . Pretty disappointed with the hotel as the hotel looks undercared. The staff are nice but they will need to invest more in Mei rising the facilities .Show More

I'll probably never experience the 5-star luxury of the Singaporean version and the Hotel Majapahit obviously cannot offer the same standard as they hopefully do. Nevertheless my stay at Hotel Majapahit was incredible. Hotel Majapahit is a grand hotel on a 3-star hotel price. Our room was charmingly old-fashioned and very spacious, the bathroom was incredible with a bathtub, shower cabin and toilet cubicle. We had a terrace with a garden view. The hotel is huge and one can imagine how lively it must have been in the old days. The swimming pool area was very pleasant and the pool and spa's catering and staff were amazing. Our breakfast at Restaurant Indigo was good and the staff were very kind and very professional. Walking through this historical building and being part of it even if only for one night was something never to be forgotten.Show More

The rooms are incredibly spacious and perfect for unwinding, but what truly sets this place apart is the service. We have never experienced better customer service anywhere in the world. We were made to feel like absolute royalty from start to finish! A special thank you to Anna, Diego, Melly and General Manager Kahar, who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable — always taking the time to chat, share stories, and offer thoughtful recommendations.
