Right in the middle of everything. We walked to dinner and then to Seattle Center. Lots of options for dinner nearby. Monorail to the Space Needle. Street Car to Lake Union. Light rail to all points including the airport. All a few blocks from hotel. Next is the atmosphere. We dig the vibe. Yep, a 61 year old saying vibe. I am a big fan of their signature scent. The lobby, hallways and all the details. The room we were in on the 10th floor was just the right size but know, its an older building so the bathroom was on the small side. The tub though was bigger and deeper than expected. My wife would have liked a touch more shelf space. The bathrobe was given a thumbs up. The beer hour at 5pm...yes please. They did offer cider or other non-alcoholic beverages. Coffee and tea in the morning as well. The bed was comfy. My watch said my sleep number was an 89 which is high number for me. Communication from the very friendly staff was great at check in. The texts were appropriate and non-intrusive. Loved the ability to provide a gratuity to Bianca in housekeeping via a QR code since I didnt bring cash. I hope my appreciation goes to her directly. Will continue to book Hotel Max when we come into the city from Tacoma for events. Great job.Show More

I selected Hotel Max because of the inexpensive room rate and its proximity to the convention center. It was a good choice! I'll start with the one con: the room size. As Groucho Marx once quipped, "hello, room service? Send up a larger room!" :-) Having stayed in lots of hotels in NYC, I'm accustomed to small rooms, but the bathroom was tiny! There is only enough room for one person in the bathroom, and the shower stall is the size of a phone booth. In fact, the shower was so tiny that I actually had difficulty with taking a shower! (I don't know how it was in other rooms; I can only comment on the room I was in.) However, bathroom size notwithstanding, I otherwise like this hotel a lot, and if I make it back to Seattle, I will book this hotel again! The hotel was clean and well-kept, and it's in a great downtown location. The convention center is only a few blocks away, as is the Westlake light rail station. One of the neat features of this hotel is the free beer sampling at 5 pm; if you're a beer drinker, it's a great opportunity to sample local brews!Show More

Located a few blocks from Seattle’s Market, walking distance to the Needle, tons of food and drin...I cannot indulge in these following words enough to fellow travelers- the stay was absolutely awesome. Located a few blocks from Seattle’s Market, walking distance to the Needle, tons of food and drink around, and immersed in history and community. There’s a free beer hour from 5-6pm, that locals also stop in for, which the manager said she loves because it promotes the community. The staff was exceptional, from the first greet to the last hello, the room was so large for what you think may be a smaller building of Seattle, and the feeling of security was comforting. If we ever get to go back, there isn’t another hotel outside Hotel Max I would stay at.Show More
