ホテルは、東京駅日本橋口に隣接する「サピアタワー」内に在り、好立地で利便性が抜群に好い。宿泊階は、28階から34階までの全339室。約60%がシングルルームの設定で、東京駅を上空から窓外に望める景観が評判を呼んでいる。客室のフロアは清掃が行き届いており、壁や調度品も清潔で、建築基準法で規制対象のホルムアルデヒドなどのシックハウス症候群の原因物質に関連するものは使用されていないようだ。 ...ホテルは、東京駅日本橋口に隣接する「サピアタワー」内に在り、好立地で利便性が抜群に好い。宿泊階は、28階から34階までの全339室。約60%がシングルルームの設定で、東京駅を上空から窓外に望める景観が評判を呼んでいる。客室のフロアは清掃が行き届いており、壁や調度品も清潔で、建築基準法で規制対象のホルムアルデヒドなどのシックハウス症候群の原因物質に関連するものは使用されていないようだ。フォーシーズンズホテルのような豪華さや贅沢さはないが、質実剛健ながらも調度品や備品は下記の如く「一流品」が奢られており居心地の好さが得られている。 ●ベッド一式はSimmons（シモンズ）製。 ●空調や照明と家電製品は、Panasonic製。 ●加湿機能付き空気洗浄機は、ダイキン工業製。 ※空調と空気清浄機は、セントラル空調制御ではなく「部屋毎に個別」でコントロールができる。 ●大型の液晶テレビは、SONY製。 ●TOTO製の暖房機能付きウォシュレット便座。 ●フェイスソープはDHCアメニティ。ボディーソープやシャンプー、リンスは不明（恐らく、DHCアメニティのリフィル品）。 ●アラーム時計はSEIKO製。 ●電気ポッドは、ピーコック魔法瓶電気ケトル。 ●緑茶と紅茶のティーバッグは、伊藤園製。 ●アライドコーヒーロースターズ製のコーヒーバッグ。 ●名水百選のナチュラルミネラルウォーター（鉱水） ●クリスタルグラスや氷（ステンレス製のアイスペール＆トング）などなど。室内（2823）の照明は LED灯で、天井シーリング灯や文机のスタンド灯は調光と色温度（赤味から白色まで）の調整が可能。ベッドボードは間接照明。サニタリールームの換気機能が優れており、快適な空調環境を維持したまま湿気が籠ることがない。そのサニタリールームに洗濯物を22時から干してみたところ、翌朝06時には乾いていた。連泊時のリネン類（シーツ、枕カバー、ベッドカバー、デュベカバー、バスローブ、ベッドスローなど）やパジャマ、スリッパなどは毎日交換されます。ホテル内での遮音性は高く、騒々しい東京駅や空を行き交う航空機などの存在がシャットアウトされており、部屋では隣室や上階の生活音でさえ完全にシャットアウトされている。ホテル内の空調が適度で、ホテル内外との出入りで「脱ぎ着せずとも快適」な環境が保たれている。フロントへの内線は、深夜や未明であっても即座に通じ『○○様、お待たせいたしました。』と優しく穏やかな口調で応対がされ、好感が持て頼もしい。早朝からチェックアウトが済んだ部屋のメンテナンスが物音を立てずに静かに進行する。従事者は、在日・在留・来日外国人が目に付くが、例外なく必ず「にこやかに笑顔で挨拶がされる」ので、接遇教育により標準化されていると感心した。フロント前の広い吹き抜け構造の「ラウンジ」には、東京駅や主要なランドマークでのジオラマがあり鉄道模型のゲージも組み込まれている。立地柄か、ホテルのゲストは外国からの旅行者が大半で、多様な異文化交流を愉しめるが、ラウンジに於けるプライベートな環境を保てるようなソファの配置や遮蔽物などが設けられているのでプライバシーへの配慮に怠りがない。話題の眺望は、客室内の窓からしか望めないので、部屋のセレクト時には要注意（宿泊係が、電話やe-mailなどで相談に乗ってくれます）。Show More

It had a musty smell upon enteri...I stayed at the Marunouchi Metropolitan twice for a total of 8 nights; each time in a King Corner room. My first room on the 28th floor was dated, with worn carpeting. It had a musty smell upon entering the room, and the toilet was noisy. I stayed immediately before renovations started in November 1, and I believe this is one of the floors slated for renovation. My second stay was in the 27th floor and the room was in perfect condition, with updated carpets. I stayed in this room after renovations began on the other floors; however if there was any noise I did not hear it. Both rooms featured amazing views over the city and train tracks. The windows are wall-to-wall and have fully automated blackout blinds and sheers, which you can control from a panel in the bed. It’s definitely the most amazing feature of the room. The windows are soundproof and you don’t hear any street noise. Even the shower has a big window (with wooden slat blinds) so you can shower with a view. The rooms had true King-sized western-style beds; very comfortable. There are pajamas to wear during your stay and disposable slippers, and lots of disposable toiletry items in the bathroom. There’s a small fitness area that overlooks the lobby and soaring ceilings, with 4 cardio machines, on 28F. There are no weights or other equipment. There’s a coin-operated laundry room with 3 machines on 27F (same floor as reception). (See pics) In terms of location, it doesn’t get any more convenient - the hotel is located in Saipia Tower on the North end of Tokyo Station. Baggage is stored in a segregated area after checkout, and there’s a very nice lobby washroom to use, which has its own wall-to-wall windows with amazing views (see pics). With the older rooms going thru renovation; I look forward to staying in the hotel again.Show More

A little research, and planning your route using signage for the appropriate exit will make it easier to locate your exit from the station itself. The hotel is then easily located by the Nihonbashi exit. Staff are attentive and attend to any problems in a timely and professional manner. Umbrellas can be borrowed.
