We were upgraded (complimentary!) to a top floor king room with a White House view and the room was amazing! Very clean and modern room setup, perfect for a romantic getaway, and the shower "in" the room was so unique! The receptionist and all hotel staff were very kind and welcoming and customer service was excellent. The location was perfect (slight walk to the metro, but super close to food, coffee, attractions, parks, and the WH). Of note, we wanted to extend a sincere thank you to Ferade, our server from the rooftop bar. He provided outstanding service to us and even brought us a small delectable dessert on-the-house. He made our date night on the rooftop a 10/10 experience! The only negative (I didn't want it to reflect in my 5-star review because we really loved this hotel) was the noise level at night - we could hear the bass/music from the rooftop bar which made it hard to fall asleep.Show More

Since we...The rooms in this hotel are poorly designed. First, they are small, which may be fine if they hadn't embraced the minalmist concept of storage. There is no closet and only 2 small drawers. Since we were there for a wedding, we had a lot of clothes. There was simply no place to put them. Our room became an obstacle course. The shower is between the bathroom and the bedroom and has frosted glass on both sides. It looks cool, but it means that if someone turns the light on in the bathroom, it lights up the entire room. So, if one is up, so is everyone else. And finally, we could hear phone conversations by people in the room next to us, which unfortunately happend early on 3 of the mornings we were there. On the positive side, the service was great. The staff is wonderful and the hotel has a great vibe. The rooftop bar is outstanding.Show More

We vidit DC at least once a year and its our first time here. From the moment we arrived, Mary at reception was extremely friendly and helpful, explaining all details of the property and dining credits. This hotel is modern but has so much character. The rooms are immaculate and my husband commented on a daily basis how comfortable the bed is. Ate breakfast one morning at Fireclay, it was fantastic. Drinks at the lobby bar another night, bartenders so friendly. Even if you don't stay here you must eat ir have drinks at the rooftop bar, VUE. Expensive but appropriately named, you can see the White House. We saw Marine 1 land one night, it was awesome. If you're fortu nate you will get Emmanuel as your server, funny and friendly and full of fun DC info. This is our new DC hotel without a doubt!Show More

This is the very f...Although I hadn’t been to Hotel Washington since the end of President Obama‘s second term, it is even more spectacular than it was the last time. Everyone who works here is amazing. This is the very first hotel where I had to shorten my stay by a day and I didn’t lose my rate. Every other hotel I’ve stayed at punishes changes to the current rate. What a difference that makes in one’s impression and is consistent with how everyone is at this hotel. I needed breakfast to go on short notice and they also managed to put it into a container for me to take with me and delivered to my room. They even put my bags into my car and then re-parked my car for me without my involvement so that I could check out and still do what I needed to do and leave my car in the parking.Show More
