When I arrived around 9 p.m. with a friend, I mistakenly went to the garage first, only to be met by an older valet attendant who was insistent that I pay up front. His behavior and tone were so aggressive that I honestly questioned whether he even worked for the garage. When I tried to leave, I had to argue with him just to be allowed out. When we finally pulled up to the hotel, my friend—already shaken after witnessing a fight across the street—told the valet what happened. From there, things somehow got worse. The first valet, a tall man, moved my truck aside and told me to check in. Moments later, he sprinted inside to tell us it was just a misunderstanding, which drew attention from the front desk staff and turned into an uncomfortable public scene. When I returned later to retrieve my truck, another valet greeted me with a dismissive “sup” and a scowl. The same tall attendant then started arguing with me about the earlier situation, defending the garage attendant’s behavior instead of apologizing. Even after I left and came back, he continued trying to justify it before finally apologizing. By that point, the entire situation had dragged out for more than two hours and completely ruined our night. My friend was left anxious, worried that something might happen to my vehicle. The whole ordeal felt chaotic, unprofessional, and frankly beneath the Hyatt brand. I’ve stayed at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta before and used Booking.com for years, but this experience left me completely disillusioned. No guest should ever feel uncomfortable, unsafe, or argued with by hotel staff—especially not at a property of this caliber. I won’t be returning and can’t recommend this location until serious changes are made to the valet operation.Show More

Upon arrival, the three staff members outside were unhelpful and more focused on joking around than assisting me. I was asking serious questions about checking in while standing in the freezing cold, yet each person gave me a different answer, which made the situation even more confusing. Normally, I’m greeted and guided toward the lobby at a hotel, but that wasn’t the case here. One employee told me I couldn’t park out front, while another said I could. I was valet parking and only needed to check in first, but the conflicting information made the process frustrating. After checking in, I approached the same group to ask if a bellman could help bring my fiancée’s belongings to our room. Instead of helping, they mumbled among themselves and made no effort to assist, so I ended up taking a bell cart and loading everything myself while they watched. The room itself was disappointing as well extremely small for two people. The bathroom shower had visible mold on the tiles, along with a crack that shifted when touched. The toilet felt more like a public restroom than what I’d expect in a hotel room. To top it off, we barely slept due to alarms going off throughout the night and rattling from the AC vent. As a Hyatt member, I had higher expectations. Unfortunately, this experience makes me unlikely to return on my next trip.Show More

This is in addition to the wonderful rest...This Hyatt Regency is now our go-to place to stay in Atlanta. It is right in the heart of downtown and within easy walking distance to many great restaurants. This is in addition to the wonderful restaurants they have on site. This is our 2nd or 3rd time staying here and the staff - and I mean ALL of the staff - are a huge part of what makes this hotel such a fantastic stay each time. The valet and bellhop service - they are extremely friendly, welcoming and very helpful from the first moment you pull up. The front desk staff are always warm, pleasant, helpful and accommodating to the very best of their ability. Housekeeping just does a fantastic job every single time. The restaurant staff (we went to Sway for breakfast) was very attentive and the food was fresh, very tasty, and just overall fantastic. There are thousands of places to stay all around the Atlanta area, and I have been to several others when visiting Atlanta over the years. AND - I do like to try different places and have different experiences. BUT - when you find a place that does EVERYTHING well - and treats you well - why go anywhere else? So this is now our place to stay in Atlanta.Show More
