I stayed with my family on July 30th. I liked the valet parking, and everyone in my family enjoyed the breakfast. I also tipped the waiter in cash. When I checked in, I paid for breakfast. When I checked in, I paid for breakfast. After breakfast, they charged me again, so I assumed they'd refund my money, but I ended up paying over $150. I'm a busy business person, so I didn't confirm the deposit. I assumed Hyatt would refund my money without any suspicion, but just in case, I checked my card statement and only saw about $600 in charges from Hyatt. There was no refund. The reason I'm writing this review is to warn travelers who prepay for breakfast and then pay for their meals again. It took over an hour to get through to the hotel. This is a really annoying system. If you want to maintain your reputation as a high-end hotel, don't upset your guests like this. Aside from the bad smell at the entrance and in the elevator, I really enjoyed my stay, but because of the refund request, I don't think I'll be staying at Hyatt again.Show More

The hotel is located in a good area, with an exit right onto the Riverwalk. It has self-service or valet parking. The self-service seemed a little pricier than I expected. The lobby is open and moder...The hotel is located in a good area, with an exit right onto the Riverwalk. It has self-service or valet parking. The self-service seemed a little pricier than I expected. The lobby is open and modern; the desk staff were very friendly. There are several shops on the hotel's lower level near the exit to the Riverwalk. The rooms were about the size you would expect with almost all standard amenities (although there are no microwave ovens in the rooms, there is a microwave near the ice machine on every floor. The beds were very comfortable. Temperature control wasn't easy to learn (but to be fair, the temperature was over 90 degrees every day we were there). The rooftop pool was nice and offered great views of the city (particularly of the Alamo). The exercise room was well equipped. The conference room floors appeared to be modern and well designed (but the main room was a little too small for our conference). Overall a good experience.Show More

One mile from the Alamo. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are average with a good sized sitting area. The beds are a little soft for my liking but comfortable nonetheless. The bathroom is a little awkward. The shower and toilet are together in the water closet, and it’s hard to shut the door when you’re in there. The sink is outside the water closet directly at the end of the bed. There is a room safe, but the microwave is down the hall by the ice machine and elevators. There is complementary continental breakfast, a small hotel bar, and snacks. All in all, for the price, it’s a good place to stay.Show More
