Early Saturday morning at around 3 a.m., San Francisco experienced a tremor. Having never felt one before, it was a genuinely frightening experience, and I couldn’t sleep for the rest of the night. On a positive note, the hotel’s location and connectivity deserve a full 10 out of 10. It’s extremely convenient to get around. However, as a vegetarian, I found the food options at the hotel very disappointing. The Market offered only two vegetarian choices, and the Eclipse Bar & Restaurant had nothing more than French fries for dinner. It almost felt as though the hotel preferred guests to dine elsewhere rather than making an effort to provide a decent in-house dining experience. Additionally, on Friday at around 2 a.m., I was abruptly woken by loud noises and commotion caused by a fire alarm. I quickly grabbed my passport and rushed downstairs, only to find out that it was a false alarm. Unfortunately, my day was completely disrupted, but the hotel treated the incident as though it were business as usual—there was no apology, no explanation, and certainly no compensation for the inconvenience. Overall, while the location is excellent, the combination of poor vegetarian options, lack of guest consideration during unexpected events, and the dramatic interruptions made the stay far less comfortable than expected.Show More

In the evening, we walked around with our kids to explore the area; the ferry building, street vendors and just ppl watching. The location was great! Lots of great things to eat and the rooms were spacious. We got a suite and had an amazing room especially at sunset.Show More

I have booked this hotel 6 months in advance, with arrival they told me they are overbooked and have changed my reservation to their airport hotel. Conversation with the manager was very poor, no empathy, just telling me like a broken record that there is no other option, after 14h travel you do not want to hear this, Amex platinum did not help either (Hyatt usually has special arrangements for this). I have checked my records, there was absolutely no proper communication before from them. Surprisingly it was no problem to book at other brands in downtown on the same day. With this experience Hyatt goes on my black list, I understand overbooking situations, but this was just badly managed.Show More

The Hyatt was exceedingly prepared and staff was very friendly, positive and helpful in every way, from check in, parking our car, bell hops ready to get luggage put on carts and to our room. The restaurant and food choices were very good, and in a relaxing atmosphere. The service and food service for conference attendees included breakfast, mid-morning coffee, tea, water and snacks, lunch with two entree choices and vegetarian selection, and late afternoon break snacks, water, coffee and tea. All served by accommodating Hyatt servers. Overall, an extremely good hotel choice for our institute conference.Show More
