In the past we stayed primarily at the Grand Hyatt in Seattle, but we loved our stay & would highly recommend Hyatt Regency Seattle. Why? First of all the location was great for us to walk to Pikes Place Market, the waterfront area and even Lumen Field. Upon arriving it was nice to be warmly greeted by the door men who were always welcoming, friendly and eager to answer any questions. As Globalist, we used a free night award (since this is a Cat 4) and it was really nice to receive an upgrade to a lovely & roomy corner King room with our kids in the adjoining room. We received a room on the 42nd floor which was another bonus with a great view of the city and Mt. Rainer in the distance. The rooms were updated and the bathrooms were spacious and well lit. All the check-in folks were very friendly and gracious acknowledging my Globalist status and providing information pertaining to the benefits. I really liked the little hard copy handout with the overview of benefits and breakfast options. They also delivered a delicious charcuterie and sparkling wine to my room to acknowledge my birthday! The breakfast at the restaurant was fantastic. We liked having the option of the breakfast buffet or ordering off the menu. The Eggs Benedict was delicious as well as the PNW omelet and the buffet had a nice assortment of savory and sweet items. Service was prompt. It was also a nice touch to offer advance wait list options for Globalists via the QR code they give you in case there is a wait for seating. One of my sons used the gym and said it had a nice collection of free weights and cardio machines. While there was no valet parking, the self park was safe, easy to access and free for us. Overall, I would highly recommend and would rate this hotel 5/5 for value and overall rating. Great perks for Globalists! We plan to return here again next year.Show More

Very handy to Convention Center and just a few blocks from Westlake light rail station. Ideal for downtown shopping and about eight blocks to Pike Place Market. The typical room is on the small side but tidy and modern, with typical white and gray everything. Bathrooms are large with a glass shower stall. Small sofa and coffee table, you can sit there with your laptop or use the typical countertop-style "desk" with plugins for your chargers. And you of course get a bed, flanked by two small shelves that serve as nightstands. Not much in way of drawers or closet space, just a small open closet with two pull out bins below. Bed is comfortable and sheets are nice. A Keurig, small fridge, a safe. That's about it. Lots of room to spread out in the lobby. If you are part of a large group there are quite a few lobby spots where a dozen or more could spread out among chairs and sofas. On the dining side of things, Daniel's Broiler is a great steak and seafood restaurant but you probably will need a reservation. There is an Italian place with wood fired pizza but it's maybe skippable, there are better places to eat nearby. Next to the Italian spot there's a U shaped bar with a few tables if you want a nightcap. The bartenders are nice. And a little convenience store on 2 with grab and go sandwiches and coffee. Definitely suggest join World of Hyatt and get the app on your phone, it doubles as your room key and will make a lot of things easy like texting the concierge or whatever you may need to deal with. There are other Hyatts nearby but unless I am doing something at Seattle Center, this is the one I always stay at.Show More

Stayed here on the 16th floor with younger kids. Booked this hotel because we had a great time at other Hyatt regency and also this hotel have 2 queen bed which suit us. Booked this hotel because we had a great time at other Hyatt regency and also this hotel have 2 queen bed which suit us. This Hyatt regency is so basic and I don’t even think is worth the cost. Service When I check in the lady at the front desk was monotone and doesn’t smile at all. Doesn’t seem very welcoming. She check us in and let us in our room 1 hour ish before check in time. She didn’t really explain anything about the hotel like things hotel come with gym hours. Parking etc. she hand us a paper and our room key and that was it. After having to get up super early and flying and taking the light rail I was too tired to ask question. Had no idea the hotel provide umbrella until or water refill station until the last day when I was checking out, a guest asked about water. Staff doesn’t greet you when you enter hotel. There was a guy who would stand at the main entrance door and everytime he sees guest he doesn’t say welcome or anything. Just a dead stare at guest. Which I find it weird, for such a hotel. At least say hi welcome. Or good morning. Overall the staff here is not very friendly or talkactive. Room Our room seems clean but very basic. They gave us a stand up shower and the shower only have one side door, very easily to splash out. The bathroom door doesn’t have an option to lock. No robe or slipper like other Hyatt regency. The room was so so so so cold. The heater doesn’t seems to work at all. It kept blowing cold air out. Luckily we only stayed for 3 night. If I ever come back to Seattle. I won’t be staying here. The hotel is located in the downtown area, which is close to the convention center and some great restaurants. There were bus stations close by and the monorail was a 5 minute walk away. There were bus stations close by and the monorail was a 5 minute walk away. The room was really big with a large bathroom, equipped with lots of amenities. The room had a mini fridge, coffee maker and a safe, as well as a small desk and chair. The staff were very nice and helped us with many of our questions, even those unrelated to the hotle - we got some great restaurant recommendations and help with public transport.Show More
