I like the new lobby and first floor restaurant renovations. But my room, coincidentally the exact same room as I was in last time, had not changed much. None of the updates other reviewers mentioned and 2x what I paid for it a couple years ago. I realize that there is probably demand pricing and the hotel was full but I really did not feel the value for that price. More importantly, while some staff(club lounge, concierge and housekeeping) staff were helpful and friendly, my interactions with the front desk staff were all poor with the exception of the check in gal. Unfriendly, impolite and inflexible both from Japanese and non-Japanese staff. I thought it was a sign of the times but the next hotel (a Marriott) I went to was completely different. 20 min away felt like another world with the customer service vibe of Japan that I have always known and loved. I think that this Hyatt really needs to work on their service as I did not feel at all like a valued guest there. Not sure if I will go back.Show More

Nicely renovated hotel rooms, comfortable bedding, and impeccable housekeeping made our stay feel quite cozy. Hotel amenities are what one would expect, but Lounge is definitely punches above our more recent experiences when staying at Hyatt properties. Variety of breakfast food offerings (suitable for every palate, and dietary restrictions), available snacks during the day, and afternoon happy hour made for a great start for the day, or an unwinding experience after business meetings or family exploration in Tokyo and beyond. Gym is great, wish there were Peloton, or other spin-type bikes available. We even got the Fuji-san show up on two of the days to make the experience even more memorable.Show More

The breakfast provided had such a variety of fresh foods that you could fill several plates, if only your stomach could fit it all. . All of the dining experiences we had were above expectation. We had the pleasure of going upstairs to have a dining experience with a chef preparing our meal in front of us. So great! The subway system is a short walk.
